Default The summer Blu-ray offer problem

Well i send out my letter with the UPC for the 5 free blu ray movies on September 1st. And yesterday received from them a letter containing my envelope with the UPC and a letter from them saying the following:
"Dear xxxxxxx xxxxxxx

Thank you for participating in the Summer Blu-Ray Movie Offer. We are unable to process your request because:
Your request did not include the UPC(s) required for this promotion. Please check the offer requirements for the necessary UPC symbols.

To allow us to process your request, please resubmit your entire corrected order along with this letter by 11/1/2007 to the following adress:

bla bla bla"

So Im completely lost because ive bought the Samsung bd-p1200 player, and cut out the UPC from the box (there is another UPC on the box saying BD-P1200 with the UPC but its just a sticker, so thats why I included the UPC from the box itself.). So I was wondering do I have to send in both of those UPS's or is there something else wrong?

What I did when I bought my S300 was I sent in all the UPC on the box that I could find...that way I had all the bases coverd and I had no problems.

Dude I got the same letter only after I called to inquire about my status. They didnt have anything on file, then it was noted that I may have sent in the wrong label. So she told me that I would get a letter, which I did like yours in the mail and to just send back what's required. The only thing is I sent it in before I received the letter...the letter stated that I should send in the required documents '"WITH THIS LETTER"...oooops, now I have to call and see if thats a problem or not. Oct 31st is fast apporaching and I don't want to be left out.

Will someone post the link to that thread where the person actually circles the upc barcode on the ps3 box so we are all clear about what to send in?

Thanks

It rarely happens, but sometimes companies lose your UPC when you send in a rebate. So that could be an option. It happened to me one time on a phone rebate.

If you call them and tell them that you swear you included the UPC they will ask if you made a copy of it...that's the only other way apparently.

I made a full copy of my receipt, upc, and rebate form when I did the 5 free offer just in case I got a similar problem

Same thing happened to me on the DAY I was supposed to get my 5 movies. Now I am waiting for them again. You would think they have you include the letter to expedite your movies to you. We should not have to wait in the pile again. Where is that number I could call?

I think 800-723-4763 is the number for Buena Vista Home Entertainment (or DHE, or whatever they call themselves now).

I have read that 800-598-9671 is the direct number for the promotional offer. I'm still inside 8 weeks so I haven't used either to check on my status yet.

https://portal.archway.com/run/Lookup?key=BVISTA
is the link to check your status online.

If I'd seen the posted photo of the PS3 box's UPC symbol, I'd repost it here now, I swear.

I always staple or otherwise affix the UPC code label to the rebate form so that it cannot accidentally be lost. Yours probably stuck inside the envelope or fell out when they opened it.

The most annoying thing about this offer is how long it takes them to even get you in teh system. Mine's been mailed off for 6 wks and they STILL don't have me in the system. I called and the girl , who was nice actually, said to give them 8 wks to get it into the system.

8 wks? Seriously, what do people do there?

You are correct (800) 598 -9671 is the direct line, I just called them and got confirmation on my order. Should ship in about 6 weeks!

It took about 6 or 7 weeks before I was in their system, and then another 2-3 weeks for me to get them. Rebate type stuff is always SLLLOWWW.

lol, I laugh because I was just told the exact same thing when I checked online/called. So when I get my stuff back I'm cutting out all upc's and sending it in. PS, I cut out the huge one on the back of the bdp-s300

An e-mail to me confirmed that was the number to call. A very nice lady confirmed I was in the sytem and the movies will get here in about 4 weeks. ugh.

Turns out I we need to mail in the sticker on the side of the S300 box, not the bottom. Go figure.

I am dreading the offer as I plan to pick up a BDP-S500 soon.

BUT the fact that there is a delay is actually a good thing!
Means they can't make them fast enough and there are not enough just sitting around!
