Default What Summer Hits Are You Waiting For Blu-ray For?

Me, I do want to have something cool to watch brand new on Blu-ray with my friends. I was considering Angels & Demons but I'm now thinking I'll see that for 5 bucks tomorrow afternoon (in the middle of my "I've been laid off- job hunt". lol).

Here are a couple I may wait for Blu-ray:
Terminator Salvation (Unlikely I'll wait but a director's cut is inevitable)
Up
Land of the Lost (looks like a silly little film and an HD commercial looked amazing hence my thought of waiting on some films)
The Taking of Pelham 123
Ice Age 3 (I only like Scrat anyway)
Public Enemies (Although I am a Michael Mann fan)
G.I. Joe

Wish I'd waited on Wolverine, and I saw it for free before I got laid off from my theater job!

Star Trek, Harry Potter 6, and Transformers II are definite theater experiences (Seen Trek 3 times!). Also I have 4 passes for my old place of work left which I'm going to use to treat some friends to Night at the Museum II.

My point is, what are you waiting to see on Blu-ray? I'm talking not after you've seen it at theaters. First time viewing.

Angels & Demons...I think I'm the only one on here who liked it...I thought it had good action and it was enjoyable.

Pretty much every film the summer will be a blu first time watch. That's the problem with living in a country were all films are now dubbed. Back in England for 10 days in June so will catch as many films as possible.

Transformers 2( definitely not waiting for this one to hit bluray )

Yeah see its hard for me. I mean I've seen over 300 films at the theater. I added it recently. I love going at the theater. But it would be nice for some first time Blu-rays.

Star Trek. The only way I wouldn't have gone to that at theaters is if I was in jail. Seen it 3 times already, most recently Sunday afternoon. Go in IMAX just once. AMAZING.

Transformers II. IMAX. No question. Hands down. IMAX. Going.

But come on, what movies are you NOT seeing in theaters cause you want to save it? Thats hard

Star Trek, Revenge of the Fallen, Half Blood Prince, GI Joe, Terminator 4.

I rarely go to the theater anymore.

I know it's the wrong place for this. But why stop going to theater. Theater Experience beats any home built theater unless you're George Lucas.

I mean imagine watching Star Trek @ home when old spock shows up. Right nothing. But in theater people clapped their hands.

Image autobots meeting sam and One of them says i'm Optimus Prime. People Cheered during that scene ( that gave a great feeling). In your House nobody cheers.

Hey man, I cheer in my home.....I cheer. Haha jk, it is a lot of fun going to the theaters because of that "I'm enjoying this with a lot of other people" effect, and it makes it more of a fun experience. It was awesome seeing Fast and the Furious in the theaters when it was packed on opening day, but I'm sure it will only be that enjoyable again when my car friends come over and watch it.

I'll definitely be getting Fast and the Furious, Star Trek, Public Enemies, Wolverine, Terminator and Transformers 2 on blu, can't wait!

I have to see these in theaters:

The Taking of Pelham 123
Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince
Transformers 2

I may see Terminator Salvation & GI Joe but there's no since of urgency with these.

Angels and Demons was a very fun film (i'll be sieng it again as I got a free ticket as the person at the ticket booth gave me the wrong time and I missed out on the first 7-8 minutes, but as previously mentioned I was giving a free ticket [well actually two] as a result).

Movies i'm waiting for blu (and not sieng in cinema), no a deffinative list but i'd say:
Night At The Museum 2 (I may see as I have two free tickets as mentioned above and I believe the da vinci code also comes with movie money to see angels and demons)
Wolverine
Transformers 2 (I may see, but doubtfull)
GI Joe
Fast and Furious
Watchmen (though I wanted to see this in cinema I didn't have time and it left my local theatre in under three weeks )

I'm deff sieng (or have seen) the following in cinemas:
Star Trek
Angels and Demons
Terminator Salvation
Up

And I have no interest in viewing:
Ice Age 3 (the first one bored me, haven't seen the second one and dont intend to).

Right now, I'm as excited about ST as I've ever been about a BD coming out and it seems unfair to the rest of the summer movies that they have to be held to this standard. I hope I'll like Transformers, I'll definitely get Wolverine, don't know about T4, Up, and others I'm forgetting.

You're right, in that case, GI Joe I'm not all that excited for, I'll probably wait and rent that one. Fast and Furious I haven't seen but definitely wanted to, I'll blind buy that mother.

GI Joe. It is either going to rock or suck. I will probably wait for Land of the Lost also.
