Writers figured out a long time ago that "dumb/weird" characters are comedy gold! They usually have the funniest lines. I've listed some of my faves in the poll. I'm sure I've missed some...so who are your favorite "dumb/weird" characters in sitcoms?

I voted for Curly.

I like the classic comedy best. Some others I like that's not in the poll.

The list is incomplete without Howard Borden, "The Bob Newhart Show".

(And Hymie was nowhere near the W/D character that Larabee was.)

That's a good one! I don't know why I forgot about Larabee. Funny thing is when he joined Control He was a non-weird character. Maybe all those years working with Max rubbed off on him.

My vote is Randy Marsh, his character reinvigorated South Park a few seasons back.

I agree. The show had gotten a little stale and then Randy started getting crazier. The episode where he can't get internet porn is great.

Because...as I stated...it's a list of my personal favorites. It's not a list of every dumb or weird character from every sitcom. Phoebe was a weird character...but not one of my faves. Phoebe was weirder, but Joey was dumber...and I like that more. He was funnier.

I like Garret Dillahunt on Raising Hope. Especially considering how many serious/ bad guy roles he has done.
