I've read that this one feels very much like an older Star Wars movie, so I wonder how the inevitable backlash will be articulated this time.

Trailers look stunning, of course, so I'm seeing it and obviously pre-ordering the UHD immediately from BestBuy the day it hits theaters; they tend to get the Disney pre-orders up right away.

They’ll find something to complain about and obsess over until they die.

I think this has potential to be the most purely entertaining of the newer Star Wars flicks, so I'm hoping for the best, especially with Ron Howard at the helm. And it's always nice to get more Bradford Young visuals on UHD.

Pass.

Disney must come out with the truth on their approach to surround sound since Age of Ultron.

I wonder when we'll get Episodes I-VII plus Rogue One on UHD. Perhaps after IX, for a complete saga box set?

I'm not buying until I can add all of them to my collection with one swift stroke.

The trailers for this don't make me hungry to buy tickets, but I was surprised by Rogue One, so hopefully this will realize its potential like that one did.

I will be buying this but my issue with the movie is nobody can match the charm and sheer like ability of Ford. There is only 1 Han for me. I would like to see more movies like RO.

So now if it wasn't for a woman, Han and Chewie would have never met. This film is another big SJW film forced down our throats.

Probably that Disney didn't create a time machine so a young Harrison Ford could play Han Solo.

I'll give it a rental, but not real impressed with Disney Star Wars so far.

The Rotten Tomatoes "Want to See" percentage is getting lower and lower for some reason. I've never seen it this low for a mainstream Hollywood movie. Is this Facebook page at it again? https://www.facebook.com/DownWithDisneyFranchises/

The audio should be
English: Dolby Atmos
English: Dolby Digital Plus 7.1
French (Canada): Dolby Digital 5.1
French: Dolby TrueHD 7.1
German: Dolby TrueHD 7.1
Italian: Dolby TrueHD 7.1
Japanese: Dolby TrueHD 7.1
Spanish: Dolby Digital Plus 7.1
And the subtitles are:
English SDH, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin (Traditional), Thai.
That should be perfect for the 4K UHD release. Note: Latin American Spanish. Subtitled in both Parisian and Canadian French.

This is definitely the least excited I've been for a star wars film with the lowest possible expectations I could have for any star wars. Having Alden Ehrenreich literally pulls me out of the cinematic experience based on looks alone, it just doesn't work when the film's main character is supposed be within a couple years to the original Star Wars, casting is everything for this kind of movie imo. Disney missed a good chance with Anthony Ingruber considering he has already played a young Harrison Ford in a movie already, its not like major acting experience or previous exposure is required to be a lead role in a Star Wars movie. The acting couldn't have been much worse considering the acting coach needed and reportedly needing Harrison on set to help a bit. The only thing that could make this movie actually decent is the supporting cast and go a bit more depth into the Empire or Sith lore and maybe have some sort of connection/impact to OT or ST in a subtle way like Rogue one with the Hyperspace tracking (Plot point for TLJ).

Yeah they could've cast a good impersonator or a good actor.
