Opened 8 of the 12 boxes, and those appear undamaged though I have not yet removed the shrink wrap. Meet the Robinsons was the second box opened. It is a lovely steelbook, and I love the embossing. I am happy mine arrived undamaged, and it is a shame that Zavvi is mostly shipping in flimsy mailers.

Have caved and bought this for £1.72 as I had a discount and some cash in paypal

Fingers crossed for the white box mailer rather than a card envelope

Finally received this yesterday and while it was in a cardboard A1 mailer it was unscathed. I really think think this is the longest it ever took me to receive something from Zavvi and I have been buying from them since they started selling steelbooks back in 2013.

His was in the pre-order batch where we never got any kind of dispatch notification. Ones ordered after that should be okay

I was quite astounded as my order of 12 all showed up in the mailbox the same day (yes I have a larger mailbox). Previous orders have trickled in over a period of up to maybe 7 days.

Is the cardboard A1 mailer a cardboard envelope? My SBs all came in individual white boxes, and all were undamaged (much to my relief.)

Yes, the A1 mailer is just the brown cardboard non padded envelope. The disc was a floater when I got it but appears to be fine...gotta love that bd's take a lot of force to actually scratch them.

Not exactly.
The proper whiter padded sleeve is the mailer they use(I believe Jiffy bags are also considered mailers-anything with protection/padding as part of the box/case rather than a box with foam/bubble wrap etc added separately as protection)

The other is simply a card envelope rather than paper.

I guess anything sent in the ‘mail’ is considered a mailer, technically - https://www.collinsdictionary.com/di...english/mailer
So by that definition it’s the white, thicker packaging. The brown thin one is just a type of envelope
