Lol Wii U was not a great system. A great system has a balance of great 1st and 3rd party support. Wii U had virtually zero 3rd party support. With the advent of Switch, Nintendo has essentially rendered Wii U completely redundant as they have ported nearly every major Wii U title over to the Switch or released better sequels (Splatoon, Smash Bros, etc). Zelda Windwaker HD is about the only one left to be ported and I'm sure that's coming.

Yeah I haven't given a crap about third party support on Nintendo platforms from the N64 on. I buy them for Nintendo games, and now sometimes indies as retro-styled games are more palatable to me on a handheld than blown up on a big TV.
Otherwise, third party games I'm buying on one of the more powerful consoles or PC anyway so I couldn't care less if they get ports to Nintendo hardware or not. I'd never have Nintendo as my only console, but that's true of the other ones as well. I love games and need all the consoles to not miss exclusives. PC I've learned I can live without as most of the exclusives these days just aren't in genres I enjoy now that most indies come to consoles. |
