Well, why I never started this before, I have no idea. But no more worries! The star of Refn's recent masterpiece, The Neon Demon, now has her own thread!

I haven't seen Elle in very much but she was the only thing I liked about Super 8. Heck, she even out-acted the adult cast in that movie. Haha!

Thought she was awesome in Super 8 and have continually enjoyed her appearances in other films (Maleficent, The Boxtrolls, even The Neon Demon) since. She radiates warmth and charm imo.

Never saw her in anything until Neon Demon and was really impressed. It's great to see such a young actress willing to be in something that insane.

The commentary that she does with Refn makes it clear that they had a blast making the movie. They obviously became good friends while filming, and it seems like Elle has a sense of humor that is similar to NWR's -- which I'm not is a good sign for her.

Great actress. I loved her in Super 8 and Somewhere and she's good in Young ones.

Most recently we saw her in The Neon Demon of course where she's cutting herself loose from being typecast again in the future as a sweet and innocent girl. With upcoming projects she seems to be going in the right direction with that. I'm looking forward to seeing her in Live by Night and I Think We're Alone now.

Great how Elle became so huge in recent years, opposed to Dakota who was THE promising actress which you don't hear that much about these days. I think Elle is more talented than Dakota.

I agree with you on Elle being the more talented one.

That being said, Dakota's got some interesting projects coming up over the next couple years. Viena and the Fantomes sounds sort of promising. It's got a good cast, anyways. And of course, I'm very curious to see what Kirsten Dunst does both adapting and directing The Bell Jar, with Dakota starring. Of course, Plath has always been one of my favorites, so that has special meaning to me. I have yet to see this year's American Pastoral.

Maybe we're seeing a bit of a Dakota-ssaince.

But Elle is just so naturally talented, and has so many interesting projects upcoming, as you mentioned.
