I'd buy this film as well! They should also release another John Carpenter/Kurt Russell classic called "Escape from New York." I'd totally buy both!

Add me to that list. I would snap this one up in a second. Fox should also quickly release "The Abyss," a film which has never (to the best of my knowledge) been released on DVD with anamorphic enhancement.

Whenever Fox releases "Big Trouble in Little China" on Blu-ray, I just hope that they include the special features from the original 2-disc DVD release!

i'm Chinese and i do cringe a bit at the sterotypes portrayed in the film. that said, however, one of my guilty pleasures is liking this film. i plan to purchase this film on Blu-ray when it's available.

Such a great movie. I'd pick it up without a doubt. More people should appreciate this movie.

You can get this from play.com, region free and with decent picture and sound quality. The extras is pretty good too:

The extras however are region 2 so won't work on US player. I found this out my self when i placed it in my 40 gig PS3.

Apart from that for a film made on $5 million dollars it has very impressive PQ.

Ah, that sucks! You sure there's not a PAL thing though? Why would they make the extras region B? I know that some European discs have the extras in PAL...

Awesome movie that mixes comedy, action, adventure and fantasy from John Carpenter and one of his finest.

I saw this in theaters 4 times as a kid and it rocked the house. The BD looks fantastic with quality detail and superb sound with nice extras.

And who thinks Thunder looked like a Garbage Pail Kid when he was about to explode and he blew up salad?

This one just gets better every time I watch it. It took a while to grow on me; I don't remember liking it much the first time I saw it decades ago, but now it's one of my all-time faves. SO good. And the Blu-ray is absolutely SPECTACULAR.

Yessir, the check is in the mail...

This is definitely one of my favorite movies as well. I recently went region free and got a copy of the UK Arrow release of the film. It has some new bonus features including a recent interview with Russell. I even have the logo for the Pork Chop Express tattooed on my left arm!
