I love the Canadian version, it was a must buy for me as soon as I saw it. I'll probably get this one as well mainly because I make it a habit to pick up every US steelbook release.

hmmmm....wondering if an official announcement is imminent or am I going to have to import from outside the U.S. when a European steelbook eventually gets announced? the 3d exclusive page on walmart's site (with a picture of the box set, which I just took to be a place holder) is now not there and the original facebook page that this posting linked is not working.

Caught the 3D trailer of Wizard of Oz (advertising it's only playing a limited time at Imax 3D, though it was showing on a Cinemark screen in 3D). 3D is good, medium range 3D. A nice conversion, though they could have pushed the 3D a notch more for strong 3D along the lines of Jurassic Park's direct 3D conversion.
This is framed 4:3, or box format. Not widescreen to keep in mind, as it was originally shown in theaters.

Good news guys, it looks like this will be a Best Buy exclusive. It's in their ad for the week of 9/29-10/5

Not sure if the pic I posted is visible, but it says $29.99 in the ad. I didn't see any BB exclusives on their website, just the regular 3D edition. No idea about Canada.

It's just the ad that starts on the 29th, but new releases are on Tuesday and that's likely when it'll be on shelves.

I agree. And with the title being embossed.

Has anyone seen the internal artwork(I hope there is something, even if it's just a yellow brick road), and the rear artwork?
I'm always leery when I see a WB steelbook.

So it has the side by side widescreen bars?? And not regular widescreen?

There are now 2 listings on bestbuy.com for the 3D edition. One is $29.99, the other $32.99. I'm assuming the more expensive one is the Steelbook, though it doesn't say (bby) in the title like other BB exclusives:
