Turbine will be releasing the uncut version of LEATHERFACE (2017) on the 19th of December, 2017.

Looking forward to it. We'll see what happens with the US releases to see if I need to import. If it's like Texas Chainsaw 3D and the Euro release is the only way to see the uncut version, then put me down for a copy.

Kind of off topic, but Chainsaw related: Do any Turbine releases of Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 have the newer 2K Interpositive scan that Scream Factory released a year ago? I have the Scream disc, but usually Turbine discs are encoded better. Only time I know of where they weren't better was the first digipack release of TCM2 that was smoothed over for some reason. Off topic here, yes. So to be brief: first release was a BD25 as the format was new and expensive and the excessive grain demanded for the encode to be filtered (by the codec) to the extent seen. This has been remedied by the metal pack release which has a new encode (and different clean up; provided by Arrow). Latest Quadbox release with collectible NECA figurine also features another disc with the Shout Factory transfer. So you get the best of both worlds.

Is this uncut version going to be the same as the US R Rated version? I ask because Germany cut many films, so this could just be the regular cut, but uncut for Germany.

Yes, it's identical to the US (I assume). Regular German FSK18 rated version is cut, ours is not FSK rated (SPIO/JK instead), so it's uncut.

I think we do have the most complete set of bonus features if compared to other releases, e.g. promo featurette, making of and hours of interviews with cast & crew.

I ordered from dtm but they put the wrong house number on the package and it got rejected and nearly got sent back to Austria.

I have to say the guy at DPD I spoke to was very unprofessional, yawning down the phone, acting like he can't be bothered to help and not interested. He told me he can't do anything and I have to speak to the sender to fix the address (which would of been hard as I dont speak German).

Luckily I rang back DPD and spoke to another lad who was very polite and helpfull, and he changed the address straight away. Why couldn't the first lad do that.

........anyway I have them now (bought three) and I'm looking forward to checking the steel and film out.

Received my 4K copy and the media book/Steelbook is faulty. Rather than being secure when it’s clasped into place (shut) the casing moves backwards and forwards slightly so it’s out of line down the spine. It doesn’t feel like it will fall apart but it’s very annoying.
