Default Looking for possible Sony TV with great sound speakers built in

The Sony 46-inch Bravia I had moved to the bedroom has finally succumbed to tech issues after about a decade or two. Unlike today's TVs, it had great stereo sound built in, with speakers all facing forward from the sides, top and bottom of the screen area. I do have a 55-inch Sony HDR TV display in my livingroom, and it is excellent, but I had to connect it to a whole sound system to get good sound. For the replacement in the bedroom, can anyone suggest a really good TV (pref Sony) that had excellent sound built in, around the 46-inch size, and not costing me an arm and a leg...but that will last a long time?

For Sony, look at their Master series.

Among several other great things that are exclusive to Sony's Master Series TVs they do build-in very good TV audio performance, unfortunately the smallest Master Series TV is 55" that is 48 1/4" wide.

A great example is Sony's ABR-55A9G OLED TV for $2,299, exceptional picture quality and very good built-in audio performance.

Unfortunately since this is just a replacement for the bedroom, I want to spend only a few hundred

I'd suggest Sony's 2019 49" XBR-49X800g for $549.

Sounds perfect. Thanks. I looked at Amazon and BestBuy.com but they don't have it listed, but did see it listed from other online sellers. Amazon and BB list a Sony xbr-49x800H (not G) for 2020, so I am guessing that just is a way of identifying the year.

Thanks again for your help!

On modern TVs, the build in speakers doesn't sound too good. A person will have to get a sound system or a soundbar to enhance and amplify the audio.

It seems a shame that is the way things have gone. You have to spend as much money for a sound system as you did on the TV (or even with soundbars there are some that run into the several hundreds of dollars).

Yeah. Can't have an ultrathin screen and minimal bezels and also fit quality speakers. Sound needs space. Oh well.

Al true that the thin bezels have forced us to accept small speakers that are physically not capable to deliver the full dynamic tonal range.

Sony and LG seem to have the best built-in audio systems on most models. They built-in small subwoofers that significantly help the audio fidelity.

Well, I think I have pretty much decided. Instead of getting a 49-inch to replace the bedroom 46-inch TV, I am probably going to move the 55-inch Sony from the livingroom to the bedroom and get the Sony KD65X75CH 4K UHD LED LCD TV from Costco for $719.99 (once I have saved up that amount).

One of the deciding factors for me to get it at Costco is that Costco bumps up the 1-yr manufacturer's warranty to 2 years, and I purchase the SquareTrade coverage for years 3-5, and use my Costco Anywhere Visa card to pay for it, which extends the coverage for 2 more years to total 7 years. Plus if anything goes wrong with it in the first three months, I know Costco will take it back no questions asked.
