Default Sony X95G Youtube issue

I have the Sony X95G and it started last night were YouTube connects, I choose a video and it starts to play for 1 sec and then nothing. It simply stays there.

Anybody had this issue before or could supply a fix.

The YouTube app can get glitchy on Sony TVs. Gotten a bit worse lately, I think. Sony needs to update a few bugs, especially this one. It's bound to happen every couple of times. Just restart the TV and you should be fine.

Tried that already all to no avail. I have contacted Sony waiting for a reply.

I post this as to help others who may need assistance in the future.

Sony(Aust) replied to me with the following suggestions after email contact:

Software Update

If the version is NOT v6.3626, it means that the system software is not the latest version.

To update your system software, do the following:

1. Select [System software update] which is also under [Help]

2. Select [Automatic software download].

If you are unable to download the latest version via network, please do so via an empty USB and follow the instructions on this link:

Android Reset

- If TV is turned off, turn it on first and perform the following operation.

1. Point the remote control to the illumination LED and press and hold the POWER button of the remote control for about 5-10 seconds until a message Power off appears.

2. TV reboots automatically. Wait for approximately one minute, and the TV will turn back on.

> If it does not reboot, press the POWER button on the remote control to turn on the TV.

3. TV reset operation is complete.

Power Reset

1. Turn off TV using remote control.

2. Unplug TV power cable from the power point.

3. Unplug router power cable from the power point.

4. Wait for a minute before you re-plug the router power cable back.

5. Once router is fully set (all necessary lights turned on), go back to your TV and re-plug power cable to power point.

6. Turn on TV using remote control.

Edit by me. As my software was up to date I tried the Power Reset option and it cured my issue.

Sony Australia was very prompt in responding to my email and provided a working solution.
