Default Does the brand of hdmi cable matter

I have always heard that it doesnít matter because itís digital and that any brand will do. I usually get monoprice cables. What brand do you use ?

I've always heard that the gold plated HDMI cables are the best. I don't think that now a days particularly brand names really matter that much.

No the brand of HDMI doesn't matter, all that matters is how many gigs the cable will pass per second. I just got Monoprice for my 4K set up.

What you choose hinges on how OCD you are. Some people like things arranged neatly in a certain way or with certain colour.

Only for reliability. I've bought many and never noticed a difference in sound and picture. Even the far more expensive cable.

Monoprice I think is over rated as you get what you pay for.
I've had 3 or 4 different Monoprice cables fail. They are better built than they used to be but buyer beware.

My first 4k-cable was from Hama and it stopped working for less than year.
Replased that on Monoprice and it has been working on for 4 year.
Monoprice was actually cheaper than Hama.

I've been using a six dollar Amazon Basics cable for ten years, no problems yet.
