While this isn't SVS specific, I have 2 x PSA XV15se in my main setup, and an old MFW-15 that is being powered by a Crown XLS1500, which obviously isn't calibrated for that sub (the MFW plate amp died). The PSAs are down firing, and the MFW is front firing. The PSAs are stacked, and the MFW sits about a foot apart from them, and all are behind my front stage. I was still able to squeeze out the typical +6 db by tweaking the distance for the MFW, which was different from what my processor autosetup set it to. If your processor/AVR has that level of adjustment capability (e.g., separate distance adjustment for each sub), I think it'd be worth a try. At the very least if it doesn't work out you have that very generous return policy, albeit the small hassle of packing everything back up and sending it back.

For reference, I setup my SPL meter at the main listening position, turned on the sub test tone in my processor, then went through the sub distance trim in .5 step increments until I found the optimal one. If I recall correctly, it was +8 feet more than what the autosetup set it to.

Disclaimer: Note that I'm just speaking from experience. Maybe I'm way off base and someone who knows more can say I'm nuts and tell you for sure if it'll work or not.

It really depends on placement. It is not advisable to have a different sub in each front corner of the room for example, but then again, the home theater police are not going to knock on your door and confiscate your equipment. Where would they be placed?

Ha ha. I don't mean like that, just wanted to make sure using diff. subs will not compromise the bass response and makes it harder for calibration.
PC4000 placed left rear side, new one will be placed next to front right speaker.

That would be the way to go then. You might have to play with the gain as well as phase to get them hitting at the same time and at the right volume. I would put the stronger of the two up front, but I am sure you already figured that one out. In these sort of setups, I usually have the gain set just a little higher on the one up front, but that is personal preference.

Looking to pull the trigger on dual PB-3000 subwoofers.
Just waiting for any sales that might pop up.
Columbus Day or BF maybe?

SVS briefly had PB3K for about 1K during labor day sale. They sold out quickly, regret not picking one.
