I Have a vizio and I had a lot of issues with it at first. If fact I had it replace 3 times and I'm still not 100% Happy with it. It's an older model I've had for about 3 or 4 yrs now. I can say their customer service is good, but I shouldn't have had that many issues with the same model.

I doubt that you would have issues with this model, but I would have to say go with the bigger Brand. I've never had any issues with a Sony item.

I went with the Vizio for the bigger screen.

One of my TV'S, my 47 inch, is a Vizio and I've never had 1 problem with it in the last 3 years. My living room TV is a 70 inch Sony that I've had for about a year, also no problems. I'm looking to get a 4K TV in February or March. I've heard good things about the Vizio P series so if prices stay the same, 1499.00 or drop some some which I hope, then I might be biting on the 65 inch myself.

If both are same price then why not go with Sony?.

I currently have a Sony 55inch LED tv and it is a beauty. Ive had it for almost 2 years now and not 1 single issue at all. (By the way Sony support is very good as well)

He's getting 10 additional inches with the Vizio at 1499.00 vs the Sony's 55 inch model. 10 inches is a big difference when talking about screen size.

If you are looking for best deal then get the vizio. You might have a bit more chance of having an issue but I usually find it's worth the savings. I currently have a 70" Vizio (wanted passive 3D and largest screen) and I am very happy with it. I've had several Vizios and have bought several for my sister and her kids. Only 1 had an HDMI issue with one of the HDMI ports (after 5 years) but all the others have never had an issue. MY previous Samsung took 2 times for Samsung to fix. Great customer service and it took them a while to figure out what the manufacturing defect was but you could have that issue with any TV manufacturer.

I have two other small Vizio sets (32" M Series) and have been amazed by the quality. On occasion they will forget my Netflix and AIV log-ins but that isn't that big of a deal to punch back in - especially since the newer of the two has the QWERTY keyboard on the back that works on both TVs.

Thanks for the input, everyone. I'm picking up the Vizio in a few minutes but I will leave it in the box until all these great deals expire just in case something better comes along. So far, the two I was asking about have been the only ones to peek my interest and I'm including the leaked BF and Cyber Monday ads.
