Obviously after the Japanese release, but beyond that is anyone's guess.

Finding it a bit disconcerting that Anime Ltd. has already announced this in the UK but GKIDS is taking their sweet time.

Meh, I didn't care for this movie all that much, it was just OK - I loved Your Name ten times more than this one. I'll most likely just be getting one JP and one US release for Weathering, unlike Your Name, where I bought seven different releases from all over.

What a waste of money, I gotta say- I'd just get the best looking release (in terms of video encode) with English subs and leave it at that.

Given that it seems like my wife may be losing her job at the end of the month now, I canceled my preorder for the 4K CE of this. We will be fine with just my salary, just need to cut some excess.

I have a feeling it may come out in North America on UHD. Not gonna explain how, but I just have a feeling this one has a good chance.

I really wish there was a way to watch this while in quarantine. I have this whole month off from work

That would be great. Would certainly save me the trouble of selling off the rest of the CE and make a cover.

I've been thinking the same thing, especially since it's most likely (I'd even say almost certainly if not certainly given the live-action stars in the dub) going to be released by Universal over here and Universal almost never shies away from the chance to release an Ultra HD.

Cause the release date isn't until end of May in Japan. We get it probably not till fall.
