Michael Hochhaus from Koch Media just said to me it was a bad copy & paste error. There's no 4k Master for the Miami Vice series available.

Thanks guys, it will be removed. I also checked bluray-disc.de this morning and notice they have now removed all references to 4K as well.

Out of curiosity, can anyone say where Koch is updating information about this? I checked their website and this Facebook page, but the most I could find was an article on Schnittberichte that said they were active on the dirtypictures forum last year. I didn't find any official user for them there, or for that matter, a thread about this release, and there were no posts about it from Koch in the bluray-disc.de forum, either. Is all of the information still restricted to a press site at this point?

Koch hasnt made their own announcement yet. Just Press Release.
I think more Pictures and stuff will follow with the Announcement on Kochs Facebook, Instagram and Homepage.
Maybe it will happen on October 1 because thats when the shop launches and they want to use Miami Vice as first Big Exclusive title for it.

User Michael was the official guy there, he's like the head of production at Koch, but he had to abandon that thread when he got in charge of even more stuff.

But yes, apart from that, their official channels are sometimes a bit... behind. What you need to realize is that they are a super small team (as far as I know, Michael is working on those box sets with maybe only two or three other people and does most of the stuff himself), so they might have someone sending out the press releases, but it can take some time before they reach their own website and social media folks.

Thanks for the clarification. It's too bad a mistake like that happened, but at least it was corrected before anyone ordered a copy under the wrong impression.

Do we know if this new set fixes the 2.0 audio issues on "Definitely Miami" that Mill Creek never fixed?

S2D3: "Definitely Miami", 10 seconds blank on 2.0 (Stereo) track, starting at 42'41'' ( the song “Cry” by Godley and Crème should be playing. ).

NOTE**: Mill Creek today rejected making this fix because they apparently received a bad master.

Its fixed.
And some other things are also corrected. For example the picture stuttering in El Viejo.

How about the season 2 opener, Prodigal Son? The blu had a substantially worse transfer than the previous DVD. I read somewhere the master was lost in a fire, but any word if its the same so-so transfer on the US set with the bad clipping, desaturated colors and contrast, or was a better source used?

Are the colours the same on the Elephant Films release, just with less compression?

I doubt anyone will find it given the lack of marketing... Standard procedure would be to have the social media pages and walls full of posts including the link to the new shop. And by clicking that link you would land to a countdown for the opening. If it would launch on April 1st I would think it's an April fool...
