I tend to dislike so-called "found footage" films and that is the case with this one. I wouldn't rate it among the top of anything; it isn't even mediocre enough to be on the top most mediocre movies.

Yep, the remake was cool as well.

I’m not the greatest fan either but I found R.E.C to be a tense, superbly executed thrill ride. The shooting method was perfect for this particular film imo.

I'm glad that you liked it. For me, it was another movie that cable TV, or streaming, saved me from wasting my money upon.

With the risk of ritualistic shaming and possibly being ostracized, I hated Highlander when I rented it back in the day on vhs. Something about Christopher Lambert rubbed me the wrong way. But then again, I did have a mullet back then, so tastes do change. Maybe I revisit it.

You must flagellate yourself with a VHS copy of it until you see the error of your ways.

Have any pics? That's a Kodak moment if ever there was one!

Solid upticks for the 4K. I just watched it this past weekend. Like Vilya, my enthusiasm dropped off for Peninsula somewhat.

I guess it's because as much as I do like Train, I felt it was overrated. The hype train was in overdrive. Peninsula hit the right notes and I was fully onboard for it.

Train To Busan had so much, well, momentum. Where Train To Busan was a zombie infested bullet train, Peninsula was just a train derailment in comparison. In the former, survival and reaching safety were the overriding motivations while the sequel was simply about risking one's neck for a lot of money. I find survival stories inherently more interesting than ones about unbridled greed.

They need to finish the trilogy.

That seems appropriate for my recompense. Few pics still floating around. It wasn’t full on Billy Ray Cyrus proportions, but more of a hockey hair length.

I just bought my first TV show on disc.

I haven't seen the show yet so I will have to pick up the earlier seasons too and watch them first, but it was on sale at Best Buy and I couldn't resist. I also really liked Reminiscence which shared some of the cast and crew.

Speaking of TV shows, I'm curious you guys usually watch them. Do you binge them in one sitting or spread it out over a few days or longer? I'm not really a big TV person (the only show I've watched this year is Outer Range) but being able to have them on disc definitely makes me more inclined to watch them. I will probably pick up House of the Dragon too.

I think the first season of Westworld is great. Everything after was mediocre to horrid and I didn't even bother watching S4.

I like binging TV shows. The last week or so it's been Star Trek Discovery S2 - S4 on BD and now I'm halfway through Picard S1 on BD, as well.

I do sneak in a film in there to break it up a bit. Last night I watched the Highlander 4K disc.

I guess I'm a binge watcher. I will typically watch about five or six 45 minute long episodes per viewing session. Sometimes even more if I am highly motivated.

My favorite way to watch TV shows is to wait until I have the entire series on disc and then watch it all over the course of a few weeks (or months). It's great to get invested in the characters' lives and see how they change over the years.

Whenever I watched one season at a time (or one episode at a time many years ago) I always felt like I was missing various references and connections because I didn't perfectly remember everything that had happened previously on the show. It's so much more enjoyable to watch it all over a short period of time.

I like the idea of watching 60 to 80 mins at a time. I think its because of the old anime dvds with 3 to 4 eps and how most tv shows came out in a 1 or 2 hour block Saturday mornings or evenings.

Discs are actually pretty sub optimal for me as I don't really wanna watch a series in chronological order usually. I actually kind of wanna jump all around watching the top 10 episodes of a series which with a fair number of series are probably on 10 different discs. Even if they are all on the same disc most discs arent authored to be very friendly for jumping between scenes and episodes.

My boss phoned to tell me to take the day off due to the awful conditions!

So you might have more posts from me today inbetween watching repeats of The Office (U.K. version) drinking hot chocolate and generally just being lazy.

Everyone’s a winner!

Yes, it’s more to do with my client not able to go out and his parents not wanting to go out due to weather. I would have been pretty much redundant today.
He stopped breathing for a short while last week and we thought we had lost him so we are being ultra careful and making sure he is warm and well rested.

Just for clarity, I work in social care and I’m employed by my client’s parents. (Client has Downs syndrome and autism)
