ps3 and hd audio decoding - Blu-ray Forum

does the ps3 have true hd audio decoding? If not, is that something that a firmware update could fix or is it a h/w thing that would have to be released in the next generation ps3?

Also what are the best blue-ray players comming out relatvly soon?

PS3 can and does decode Dolby TrueHD.

No support yet for Dts-HD Master.

The PS3 can do 1080p24.

Nobody really knows. Technically, it should be possible, but there are a lot conflicting reports out there. Sony hasn't confirmed anything yet, or I haven't heard about it.
