Every time a new season comes out they release a new boxset, so you’ve got a situation where there’s season 1, season 2, seasons 1-2, then seasons 1-3 etc, eventually up until that complete boxset with the box sets in between then being removed from sale just leaving the individuals and the completes. With each of those you only have access to the actual set you purchased so let’s say they do upgrade the individual seasons and the complete sets, will they also upgrade the sets that are no longer available in the store? We’ve already got a situation with the complete sets where a couple of earlier seasons were SD with the remaining being HD but due to them ‘apparently’ not being able to mix SD & HD then the whole complete set is sold as SD with the only way of getting HD is buy certain seasons individually. I would love to see 4K just be upgraded across the board but it just seems there are far more complications involved with tv shows compared to movies. |

Hi all, I am planning to update the OP with what we know for the coming year, just need to find the time. I’ll try this weekend using the upcoming physical disc calendars, but yes - please let me know what you have already and I’ll make sure to include. Thanks.

I'd go ahead and add the following: 19 April Heavy Metal Heavy Metal 2000 (currently SD on the U.S. store) 26 April Singin' In The Rain And I'd remove the following: 26 April For All Mankind An employee told a user here that Criterion doesn't currently have any plans to offer 4K on digital even on titles they have digital rights to, so short of them changing their mind before 26 of April, there's no point in having FAM listed. |

Also, does anyone know if Cinema Paradiso is still Miramax in the U.S.? per the thumbnail it is. If Paramount has this now, the sale could mean an upgrade coming soon since the 4k is OOP. |

It wouldn’t surprise me that now Amazon are in charge they’ll just continue the theme of licensing the 4K catalogue releases out to the likes of Arrow etc.
No more iTunes upgrades in that case, it’s already annoying that Robocop won’t be seeing the HDR upgrade with the physical being an Arrow release. It’s a shame these releases are not made available for purchase via digital. |
