EDIT: Looks like as with Gotham Knights, WB is charging full price at $69.99 for the PS5 version of Hog Leg, versus Sonic Frontier's 59.99 for the PS5 version.

But yes, best to wait for reviews to see how the overall gameplay and experience turns out from this team. Last edited by Zivouhr; 11-23-2022 at 03:49 AM. |

Thanks. That's some delayed release there for PS4/XB1 and Switch, but if it's about fine tuning the release, that's smart and they probably learned it's better to stack the releases versus trying to crank it all out at one time like Cyberclunk from CDPR in 2020.

Not having all versions release at the same time is never a great sign. Have a feeling this one might end up a mess we need to wait a few month for, for it to run great. Hope I'm wrong though!

If they have a limited number of employees and testers, then it's good business sense to fine tune the lower power console versions of PS4, XB1 and Switch later after the PS5 and XBSXS versions are reasonable at launch. I see it as a good thing actually, compared to what CD Projekt Red did with the PS4, PC and XB1 versions on December 10, 2020, having put all their energy into the PC version and shafted the millions of PS4 and XB1 players just to please stockholders first (CDPR is corrupt and need to reprove themselves). They should have just released the PC version first, then perfected the PS4 version and XB1 version, finally releasing it when it wasn't a busted mess. To witness how bad it actually was on release day on the disc, install the disc without any updates at all.
As far as WB Games, they're behind some good games IMO, including the Arkham Batman games through Rocksteady,Gotham Knights, Shadow of Mordor, War of Mordor, Lego games, Dying Light games, Mortal Kombat games, Mad Max, Hitman series, and Suicide Squad in 2023. That's a good track record IMO. |

The livestreams have done a lot to assuage my doubts. Two hours of gameplay, live, has shown it to look pretty great. There was some frame dips and other small technical issues that could have already been fixed, considering the presentations weren't from the gold version of the title, but even so they weren't even that bad. Combat looks like a ton of fun too.
The only thing I feel like I need to worry about now is the story, and even then, just exploring a huge fully functional hogwarts castle, the surrounding area, and Hogsmede... that's worth the price of admission even if the story fails to deliver. Here's to hoping the streams are accurate and represent the final product. |

I've been having great luck with Warner Bros published games, which I would consider have a great track record of the games I've played over the years from them. I have completed most of the below games with zero patches/updates. These days, that's a rare thing sadly.
Arkham Asylum PS3 Disc Arkham City PS3 Disc Arkham Knight PS4 Disc (After completing, I bought some of the Batman 1989 and costumes on sale, which updated the game) Shadow of Mordor PS4 Disc War of Mordor PS4 (digital, so includes updates automatically) Gotham Knights PS5 Disc Overall though, as far as game reliability, I cannot remember any of these games ever crashing, or more than 1 time at most maybe. WB games tend to be polished and complete games on disc. So I'm assuming WB Games still have that goal with the new Hogwart Legacy HP game on PS5 in 2023. |
