Another email to Universal sent. Within I have [again] detailed the extensive number of movies in the UK iTunes store which:
a.) do not have the unrated/extended version that the US has b.) have not upgraded to 4K, when the US has c.) have upgraded, but is missing Dolby Atmos Universal are the worst offender in this regard, in my opinion. We are talking over fifty films at my last count! I don't think I've had any luck with previous communications, so I am not optimistic. I have also asked about adding Dolby Atmos to iTunes for those movies which have been identified as having it in MA (Despicable Me's, Fast and Furious etc.) |

A couple of these I have stretched the truth with, just to try and get the best version in the UK e.g. Fate of the Furious, which I know doesn't have the extended version in 4K in the US; Despicable Me, which only has Atmos in MA, but still worth a try... Dear team, I hope all is well. I am a loyal Universal movie buyer in the UK. I purchase my movies through iTunes in the UK. I have compared some Universal films available in the US iTunes store to those available in the UK store and noticed a great number of films that aren't available in the UK either in 4K or at all. If I list these films for you now, would it be possible to upgrade the movie in the UK iTunes store to match what is in the US iTunes store? As it stands, there are a great deal of your loyal customers in the UK who are forced to miss out on enhanced films because Universal are only upgrading the US store. Please see below the extensive list of films - clearly a massive project needs to be undertaken by Universal to bring the UK up to the level of the US: 12 Monkeys - not available in the UK store 1917 - missing Dolby Atmos audio in the UK store American Gangster - Unrated Extended Edition not available in the UK store American Pie - Unrated not available in the UK store American Pie 2 - Unrated not available in the UK store American Wedding - Unrated not available in the UK store American Reunion - Unrated not available in the UK store Back to the Future - missing 4K, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio in the UK store Back to the Future Part II - missing 4K, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio in the UK store Battleship - missing 4K, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio in the UK store Bridesmaids - Unrated not available in the UK store Bruce Almighty - not available in the UK store Casino - not available in the UK store Dawn of the Dead - Unrated not available in the UK store Despicable Me 2 - missing Dolby Atmos audio in the UK store Despicable Me 3 - missing Dolby Atmos audio in the UK store Dracula Untold - missing 4K, HDR in the UK store E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial - missing 4K, HDR in the UK store End of Days - not available in the UK store Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - missing HD and 5.1 audio in the UK store Everest - Missing 4K, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio in the UK store Fast and Furious 6 Unrated - missing Dolby Atmos audio in the UK store Forgetting Sarah Marshall - Unrated not available in the UK store Furious 7 - Extended Edition in 4K, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos not available in the UK store George A. Romero's Land of the Dead - Unrated not available in the UK store Glass - missing 4K, HDR in the UK store Good Boys - missing 4K, HDR in the UK store Halloween II - not available in the UK store Halloween III: Season of the Witch - not available in the UK store Hot Fuzz - missing 4K, HDR in the UK store Jason Bourne - missing Dolby Atmos audio in the UK store Man on the Moon - not available in the UK store Miami Vice - Unrated not available in the UK store Oblivion - missing Dolby Atmos audio in the UK store Pacific Rim: Uprising - missing Dolby Atmos audio in the UK store Pitch Black - Unrated not available in the UK store Robin Hood - Unrated Director's Cut not available in the UK store Role Models - Unrated not available in the UK store Slither - not available in the UK store Ted - Unrated not available in the UK store The Blues Brothers - Unrated not available in the UK store The Bourne Identity - Missing 4K, Dolby Vision in the UK store The Fate of the Furious - Unrated Director's Cut in 4K, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio in the UK store The Incredible Hulk - missing 4K, HDR in the UK store The Mummy - missing 4K, HDR in the UK store The Mummy Returns - missing 4K, HDR in the UK store The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor - missing 4K, HDR in the UK store The Wolfman - Unrated not available in the UK store The World's End - missing 4K, HDR in the UK store Please feel free to come back with any questions you may have or any help required to identify any further movies that may be afflicted. As you can see there is a great deal of unevenness when comparing US store to UK. Last edited by XanderAE; 10-28-2020 at 09:07 AM. Reason: Correction |

FYI:
1917 - missing Dolby Atmos audio in the UK store - UK distributor is eONE. The disc has Universal Pictures logos and I am sure they authored it but distributor is eONE. Cowboys & Aliens - Extended edition not available in the UK store. UK distributor is Paramount. They released only the extended cut on Blu-ray. US/CA release by Universal featured both cuts. Drag Me to Hell - Unrated not available in the UK store - US distributor is Lionsgate |

![]() FYI, 1917 is showing as Universal as distributor in the UK iTunes store, so I assumed that was correct. Are we sure it definitely isn't them? |

Yankee Doodle Dandy is a rental only in both the Information Irish and U.K. stores.
The database entry here - https://www.blu-ray.com/itunes/Yanke...iTunes/146037/ - suggests a relist has occurred and is possibly what lead to the lose of he buy button. Can folks please email Warner Bros. and then to look into it? Cheers |

The most recent MAGNIFICENT SEVEN sequel (‘tis neither remake or reboot and is bloody great stuff) has no extras in Ireland or the UK.
It is MGM so way for us to get in touch with the distributor. Anybody in the US willing to phone MGM about this and James Bond? The details are listed a few posts back but I can post again if needed. |
