Plenty of travelling around BC and Alberta dodging the odd fire. So much smoke across BC. Great trip and so much to do and see. Lovely people as well.

Of the shops I visited while in Calgary Video Game Trader are highly recommended. Knowledgeable staff and a wide selection of DVDs and blu rays.

They have special cabinets for Criterion and Arrow among other specialist labels as well and rare editions. So well worth a look in case you may be missing something from your collection.

Nice walk to it from the picturesque Memorial Drive and the 'Staircase'.

Used is basically;

pawn shops

thrift stores

Lely's Books at Kingsgate Mall - If you want to pay $8 for a used Full Screen version of Ocean's Eleven, you've found your place!

Willow Video in Langley/Abbotsford
I finally visited Lely's back in October (was otw home from seeing Transformers: the movie rerelease in the theatre), friendly people and lots of movies, but i'd say a huge 80% of their library are the mainstream stuff. You won't find Kino or Scream stuff here.

Surprisingly London Drugs (may only be the newer stores with large entertainment/electronics section) also carry "Previously viewed" now, BDs are $7.50 and DVDs are $5. Picked up The Colonly blu (not used) for $7.50 after i saw Amazon had it for $19...

Visitors to BC: check out Value Village and Salvation Army thrift stores, i find they always have a couple shelves of stuff there but make sure u pop it open to see condition of disc, sometimes it's missing altogether! I find it hard leaving empty handed at these stores with movies being only $2 or $3.

For used in Montreal, I personally frequent:
-Volume (downtown, Saint Catherine Street)
-Librairie l'Échange (downtown, Mont Royal Avenue)
-Le Fox-Troc (downtown, just a bit further down the street from the above)
-Pro du Rétro (Saint-Leonard, Metropolitain Flea Market on Metropolitain Boulevard East adjacent to the Trans-Canadian Highway)

I don't think I've seen a single non-English-language blu at these stores yet.
