Although I agree that there are a lot of plot holes, Curse is probably one of my most watched entries in the series. I love the soundtrack, it's great for the holiday, and Michael is arguably the most "evil" in it.
Back in '95-'96 I thought Curse was downright scary as hell w/ all the flash scenes and what not but over the years and becoming more familiar w/ the previous 5 movies (besides the original) I realised that this movie is terrible and still think so.

EDIT: Also it says it is from Universal which is strange because Universal only owns 2 & 3. I cant wait to find out. This will be my first import but the Halloween series is one of my favorites so I will buy it now and get it when it is released in the US
This will be my first import as well. I usually don't mind waiting for a US release but we might be waiting a looong time to get a US release for these since Disney doesn't give a crap about the series, and I'm dying to own my favorite series on blu-ray.

Yeah, but the story is a straight old school slasher flick, not the self referential wink wink horror that came to define 90s slashers. It has some nods to the original, but to say that its a Scream clone is as wrong as saying its a Friday the 13th pt. 2-3 clone cuz they're all directed by Steve Miner.

I just watched H2O again last night, and I'm curious how many people who saw Resurrection felt like Annie Wilkes from Misery watching the serials at her local bijou ("HE DIDN'T GET OUT OF THE COCK-A-DOODIE-CAR!!!!")?

HAHA! Yeah, the Origin Of Michael Myers workprint or producer's cut (whatever) has a great ending. It's soooooo different but the reason it didn't get put in the film was Donald Pleasance death.

I'm a newbie. Will these play on a USA PS3? If so, I'll get them. I'm pretty irked that the Import Nightmare on Elm St. 1 is $69 now on Amazon and don't want to wait for that to happen to this.

Canada and the US share the same region code, so yes it will play in your PS3.

As far as the ending goes, I like both the theatrical and Producer's cut ending. The theatrical ending was really creepy because all you hear is Loomis' scream. That whole ending in the maintenence room with the pipe beating wasn't even in the Producer's cut, so it would be great to own both versions.

I'm honestly ashamed at the level of anticipation I have for this set.

Haha. Honestly, when I first dug up on amazon that it was coming, I thought "Well some folks will be pleased, good for them." Now I'm pretty certain I'll be getting this for myself too...

I almost pissed my self when I heard this announcement, but that's just because I want the Halloween collection on blu so bad. I could do without Resurrection but I'd still have to add it to the collection.

Now we just need 2, 3, 4, and 5.

It doesn't specify the titles other than triple feature, but I read those were the three titles I listed above. $21.49 sounds kind of cheap for all three.

Yeah, I posted it in the "List of all Cdn exclusives' as well as at DVDtalk a while back. Those must be the titles since they're the only ones Alliance has the rights to.

Default Question about Canadian shipping to US

This question is for US residents buying from Canada. How much is shipping usually...specifically from Amazon.ca? Do you just pay the Amazon shipping price and that's it?

I only buy BDs from the US unless they are Canadian exclusive.

I am Canadian & when I order from Amazon.com I get charged;

-US Tax
-US shipping/handling
-Customs/Import Deposit Fee

I think the same applies to US residents ordering from Amazon.Ca except our tax is higher but the currency exchange rate usually favors your dollar so when you place & order, what you see as the final price will actually be a lower price billed on your credit card.

They are Region A discs, and are playable on US players including the PS3. Only thing is... I'm hoping this trilogy will not look as bad as the Spy Kids trilogy that was released recently.

If there are french language tracks, there will be french on the packaging. Menu options will only be a tiny pop-up menu letting you change the audio. No subtitles will be included.
