The LE’s from CR are typically the only things I pre-order from them. Unless a Target sale pops up where pre-orders are included then I’ll get the other stuff I have some interest in.

Of course the buy 2 to get 1 sales with the more limited amount of LE’s is harder to make orders of only anime anymore.

I can not remember if has a sale during Easter/Spring Break or not. I seem to recall one of the sales was for kids movies and TV’s but included some Anime titles.

Last year there were only 3 B2G1F sales:

2/6/2022 - 2/12/2022
6/12/2022 - 6/18/2022
11/20/2022 - 11/26/2022

Since we didn't get the Feb one this year, next one is probably June.

I don't believe the majority of the Sentai products actually are oop and would advise to wait until the transition from Rightstuf to Distribution Solutions is finished.

I asked RS, and they told me that the title is sold out, and they don't know if it will be coming back. It's possible that Sentai kept some copies for the new store, but it's hard to say. The risk remains.

Anyway, it's pretty much the same price here as it was in the store. It seems to me that if he returns, he won't be lying there for long. I suspect RS had X copies and when they disappeared on the Sentai store (because they're moving), people panicked and bought on RS.

Considering the entire Sentai store shows as current unavailable except for preorders?

I'd be very surprised if they actually are oop, especially since RS themselves have the majority only labeled as "Out of Stock, Expecting More" rather than No Longer Available.

I expect them to all be back during the next Sentai sale, at a fraction of the current price in the secondary market.

Interestingly Buyanime also carries non-hentai from Sentai.

That's the more likely scenario. Margins on this stuff is getting smaller and smaller with fewer and fewer buyers. Target looks to have pulled the plug on its B2G1 sales, replacing them with the B1G1 50% off.

Smaller discounts and fewer sales - sounds right in this new normal.

I would like to concur with everyone else and say that the sentai limited edition sets are not OOP and are being moved to their new warehouse. Most of them couldn't sell out in 3 years so I find it highly unlikely they all did. It's also possible they sold them to some store at a discount to clear inventory and not have to pay to move them to a new warehouse. And most of the sentai limited edition sets say Out of Stock, Expecting More on rightstuf, not No Longer Available. Which could imply they're being moved to their new warehouse.
