Yes, the longer International Cut is on the original letterbox DVD release. The Special Collector's Edition DVD is a different longer cut (unmarked Director's Cut), tweaked by Nicholas Meyer.

Unless I'm mistaken, the Twilight Time Blu-ray does include this extended version as a bonus feature in standard-def.

You are correct. I just checked my copy and it is "The Roadshow Version (189 Minutes) in Standard Definition".

I forgot and that's especially seeing as I own the Twilight Time blu-ray.

The big ones are the roadshow version of The Alamo and Raintree County. RC gets rare TCM airings of the LD master like the long LD version of It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World which also should be included as it has an exclusive shot/scene they left out of the Criterion reconstruction IIRC.

I've also noticed a number of lesser known 80's films and particularly HBO produced films having no DVD release.

The Extended version of RANSOM (Mel Gibson). This is the only LD I have yet to replace.

Does anyone have a picture of the laserdisc for James Cameron's Piranha II that features his director's cut?

I have that 1983 'Eyes Of Fire' LaserDisc. What a gorgeous film. Shame it was cropped to 1.33:1 from the original 2.35:1 for VHS and LaserDisc. Would be an absolute stunner to see in high def.

Another film not on DVD or Blu-ray proper is the IMAX Film 'Titanica' 1992. The original 95 minute version is only on VHS and LD, whereas the shortened 67 minute version is on DVD. Fantastic film too!

This version is included on the platinum version DVD, the one that has the gatefold cover. I think that's the only modern disc that has the proper transition between the "Something's There" ending, too. (Since they put that new song back in the movie.)

LITTLE TREASURE (1985) with Ted Danson, Margot Kidder and Burt Lancaster. Written and directed by Alan Sharp. A real lost gem.

Kate Bush: The Whole Story

I've just found out that there are a bunch of other Kate Bush LaserDisc releases as well!

I wish they had remastered these releases and/or her entire library of music videos for the 2018 remastered releases of her albums on CD/vinyl. I would love to see her classic videos on Blu-ray/UHD. It was real missed opportunity to not have included them as well.

Are you sure about this? Some sources say the LDs are open matte.

Criterion LD of Se7en advertises different color grade based off of the Silver finished version that were screened. I have it but do not have a working LD player to check it to compare to the DVD/Blu. Somewhere I read that it was exclusive to Criterion.
Also there was a mention in the echoing the sound thread that the Natural Born Killers LD played Nine Inch Nails Burn through the credits be the Leonard Cohen song.
