Default Best "bare bones" region free player?

So I've finally got myself a decent paying job and one of the first things on my "to save up for" list is a region free BR player. I want to save money, so what I'm looking for is a (preferably small) "no thrills" player that just plays both Region A and B Blu Rays from a trusted brand i.e Sony or Samsung.

No streaming or Wi-Fi.
240 volt compatible.

Try here the following link. Lots of positive feedback. They cover all your listed needs and they have an Australia site. The one thing I am not sure on is: is the region free capability software or hardware mod?

I bought this one awhile ago and it's worked fine for me except for one release: "Ice Cold in Alex" original Optimum release.

I managed to get it down to 90 dollars with "Best Offer".

Think I'm going to order this. Just plug and play? No need for anything extra?

Found this Sanyo 4k player at Walmart today for $78. It's listed on Walmart's website for $225 and Amazon for $88. Looks very bare bones, but for those looking for a cheap player. Undoubtedly we will see further sales this holiday season.

I know you asked this months ago, but I have two of these models (not from the same retailer as what's listed), and the only thing you to do is as follows:

Region A - press the yellow button on the remote while the tray is open.
Region B - press the blue button on the remote while the tray is open.
Region C - press the red button on the remote while the tray is open.
DVDs - do nothing, regardless of region code.

Mine came with a lifetime guarantee that it would play discs from anywhere. If you already have it, hope you're enjoying it!

Unless there's a secret in the Sanyo menu to make it region free I'm not sure it's a fair fight. It would be nice if the Sanyo was based on the old Seiki Magic Player that finally seems to have completely disappeared.

Probably misses on the Trusted Brand part of the question as well.
