"I don't build lightsabers so that I can sell them; I sell lightsabers so that I can build them"
I stumbled upon this site the other night when I saw an article online about a guy who turned a Sonic Screwdriver, from Doctor Who, into a lightsaber. I don't know anything about Doctor Who but people were going absolutely nuts over this.
"These lightsabers are custom-designed, hand-crafted, battle-ready props for the discerning Jedi or Sith. Each one is meticulously machined out of aluminum and is customizable with light, sound, etching, visible crystal chambers, and more."
Kenneth Hampton does extraordinary work and I figured some people would be looking for some lightsabers since TFA released and these are the best lightsabers I have ever seen. I mean, these are custom made and I'm racking my brain to figure out what design I want to go with.
I have been in contact with Kenneth Hampton and he has agreed to give the members of Blu-ray.com a 10% discount on any lightsaber package ordered. When contacting him on his Facebook page for ordering, mention Blu-ray.com to get the discount. As stated in his Purchase Policy posted below, customers have to order a lightsaber first then they receive a 10% discount on all future purchases but Kenneth is giving anyone from Blu-ray.com a 10% beginning with their first order!
About Kenneth Hampton
Quote:
Kenneth started building Lightsabers in early 2013 and started taking commission for them in April of that year. "I started because I am a huge Star Wars fan and I wanted my own realistic saber. I wasn't happy with what I found online, so I built my own. I started selling them as a way to fund my hobby and it grew from there". Kenneth also considers himself a Jedi, "Perhaps on the grey side, but a Jedi nonetheless".

The deposit invoice locks in the quoted price of your saber if paid while it is active. If not paid while active, the invoice will be cancelled and a new invoice, subject to any price changes will be required for future deposits.
A deposit is 25% of the total cost of the lightsaber and is used to pay for the time involved in pre-design and to purchase materials for your build. Because deposits are used to pay for pre-design time and cost of materials, they are typically non-refundable; however, considerations will be made in extreme circumstances. I will design (with your input) and build the sabers in the order of deposits received. All wait times are estimated based on number of builds already waiting in queue and are not intended as promised build times.
As a member of Blu-ray.com, you will receive 10% off your very first purchase! Just mention you came from Blu-ray.com in your message to HHCLS on Facebook for the discount to be applied! Any customer who purchases a single saber on their first order will receive a 10% discount on all subsequent saber orders.
All customers who have paid their deposit will be invited to join the HHCLS Build Queue Support Group on Facebook. This group is ONLY for paying customers and is a place to discuss your sabers, the design/build experience, and to ask questions from those who have been through the process.
I will work with you on the design of your saber, however, some artistic license is required for you to receive my best work. The price lists give more details about the options and upgrades, however most design elements will not impact the price of the saber.
Warranty : I provide a one year warranty on parts and workmanship. If your saber doesn't work under normal operating conditions (i.e. light to medium contact dueling, charging properly, not using the hilt as a hammer, etc.) in the first 60 days, I will pay shipping both ways and repair it free of charge or provide a refund minus shipping costs. Between 60-days and 365-days, I will repair the saber free of charge, but will not offer a refund and you and I will share the shipping costs (you pay for shipping to me and I pay shipping back to you).
Please contact me with any problems with your saber before sending it back as most problems with the sabers are typically very easy for the customer to fix with some simple trouble-shooting. After the warranty expires, the customer pays shipping both ways and pays for any parts needing replaced, however I will not charge for labor associated with a repair.
Buyer's remorse policy: If you simply change your mind at any time from when you paid your deposit until two weeks after receiving your saber and the saber is NOT damaged, I will provide a refund minus your 25% deposit.
SHIPPING: All shipping charges will be paid by the customer. After I calculate the cost of shipping, I will send an invoice for the shipping and packaging costs. Package and shipping costs do not normally cover import taxes outside the U.S. Please contact your local customs office for import fees that may apply.
Lightsabers will be shipped after payment in full is received. Any customer needing more time to pay their balance should contact me to make arrangements for moving you back in the build queue.

The hilts are wrapped in foam packing sheets and packaged in their own box with packing peanuts. That box is then placed in a larger box with the blade and accessories and more packing peanuts. A link to an unboxing video can be found here.
