I have managed to hold on, so I will be getting these new releases and am glad it's finally happening. Is it a shame it took so long? Yes. But am I surprised it took so long? No.
Oh I get that. I'm just saying it sucks. They could have been released when Arise came out. That at least increased interest in the franchise somewhat.

I've held on too, only own SAC on DVD. Didn't like the sound of the existing Blu-rays that edit the Complex episodes into movies.

Disappointed in the anime legend artwork. Oh well. I bought both from BBY for $80 with $25 off $100 visa checkout.

I agree. It's pretty meh. Would pass solely on cover. The other versions have more eye catching material.

Artwork looks quite nice. Wish we got some sort of new bonus features to justify dipping on this.

Even if the Hollywood movie turns out terrible, at least it helped push this nicer release of the movie and for them to actually make SAC blu-rays lol.

$69.99 each. Ouch!

Hopefully these will be region B compatible. The Manga UK releases are gonna be the OVAs again.

Same. It looks nice, but if it's the same disc then I'll pass.

Not really-6 or 7 episodes per disc usually gives good results if the disc capacity is maxed out at close to 50 gigabytes. What causes trouble is when you cram 9 or more episodes on one disc like Sentai and crapamation (mostly Sentai and now Discotek) regularly do.

I've seen a 13 episode series from Sentai on Blu-ray on a single disc and it looks just fine. I just think there is just a lot more to it than saying oh if it has a lot of episodes per disc it's going to look like crap. It's usually more technical.

But not as good as when you give episodes proper space to breathe.

The Japanese did Outlaw Star on four discs and while it looks great, it does get a little iffy at times. These discs won't be authored by the Japanese, so expect much more iffy.
