Possibly, its been a while since I checked 4ks for sale. But to see it go from like 9 or 10 titles per box to 1 or 2 (and only at select boxes not all of them) is a bit jarring.

My theory is worth what you paid to read it, but I think Redbox pulled them because they weren't renting or selling. Disc rental conspiracies, the truth is out there.

People could have bought all the cheap ones though to resell on ebay or something. I only see the expensive titles available.

News got worse this week as studios are pushing back some of the big titles to December or 2021.

I finally walked over and bought Black Panther 4k for $5. That’s the big Redbox news over here.

A couple of my local Redboxes had A Quiet Place 4K. I don't remember Redbox ever having that for rent in 4K before.

The boxes near me had it before. But most of the discs sold a while ago. They brought it back in anticipation of A Quiet Place 2 being released in the theater.

I've bought several BD's from Redbox and did not have any issues with them. I had to get a case and print my own artwork, but still ended up as a good deal.

Bummed none of my boxes have 4k

It seems that this is pretty much dead now. It's been months since Redbox has added any new 4K Blus for rent and the sale stock keeps dwindling.

Yes, it’s not looking good. And with Warner going with simultaneous streaming on HBO Max, could be the final nail in the coffin. Hard to imagine Redbox can get through 2021.
