Deffo getting this, I bought one the early DVD volumes and it was VHS quality at best. I read a few yrs ago that the original negatives were found in a barn in Essex and that they were being handed over for a full restoration.

For the nostalgia factor alone it's a no brainer, some of my earliest TV memories involved this and guessing with my family which way Worzel was going to fall at the end of each episode.

Was part mesmerised and part terrified by this as a nipper

This must have been true of so many households. We used to have a 10p bet on which way he would fall.

I was more scared of Catweazle. Must have been the Geoffrey Bayldon stare

Anyone who has seen the ending of Asylum - and THAT laugh! - will know. Scared the crap out of me when I first saw it!

Absolute nightmare fuel when he'd change heads. I think this series mentally scarred an entire generation!

I remember buying a VHS tape of some Worzel Gummidge episodes in a pound shop years ago and even by VHS standards, the picture and sound were truly horrid ; Nice to see these getting some love and care.

I saw only a few minutes of that... It looked pretty bleak and lacking in fun.

I grew up with Worzel and Aunt Sally, so very tempted. But have a feeling that I may not enjoy it as I did back then.

Looked it up, never saw that one.

Can you remember Huckleberry Finn And Friends? Loved that show. Starred Ian Tracey as huck Finn.

Him and that guy with the white mask and enormous nose (not Worzel, but can’t remember which show) were nightmare fuel.
