I have got a 910 that is giving me some problems. Nothing major, but I get a consistent popping noise from all my speakers every so often. Not at set intervals. This will happen while audio is playing and when it is not, but the system is on (ie if I have something paused). It happens on multiple hdmi inputs. I have checked the speaker wiring to the system though I have not changed out the speaker wiring as everything appears to be secure. Any suggestions?

Looking at my paperwork made me realize I've had the 4300H since November 2016, and I've enjoyed it so much I upgraded my TV, my DVD Player (to a 4K), and then in July 2017 upgraded my Klipsch speakers. This was my second Denon, and based on the positive performance of the 4300H, it won't be my last. I have enjoyed reading this thread the past couple of days. No questions to ask...just appreciating the comments.

I have a question about recievers. I'm all a bit new to the latest tech so just want to get some insight from you guys. I have an old Denon 1908 reciever which supports HDMI 1.3. I have just had to buy a new TV due to my old one dying (a sudden smell of burning plastic). Upgraded to an LG B7. Because of this I cant upgrade my amp at the same time. I am wondering if I can pass through sound and picture at a decent quality to the telly from the amp over HDMI or if I can pass through from the television to the amp and have all the devices connected to the television. I hope this makes sense.

Idk what blu ray or 4k player you are using but if you have one with dual hdmi than i would run one hdmi from the player to the tv for your video and one from the player to the avr for sound. That way nothing interferes with your 4k hdr movie watching.

Is there anyway to add on to a Denon 3803 (paid $125 for a mint unit) to get blu-rays to play properly encoded HD Master audio I once remember a box they were selling for HDMI inputs . Playing back hi-rez and sacd ? I got a great deal on it but now I'm wondering if it would of just been better to look into something that had everything I needed .

So my refurb 2200W is making a pretty audible hissing noise through the front right channel. I tried resetting the AVR but it still persists, just sounds like air. I tried switching my speakers around around that didn't help, so it's not the speaker but the AVR. Anyone else ever have this problem, is there a way to fix it with out sending it out for repair, or should I just buy a new one?

I have been on the fence for the past 2 months about upgrading the Synergy surrounds (S-10s) with RP-250s. I am a bit brand loyal but Klipsch sure is proud of those 250s. However, I'll probably upgrade those surrounds before even considering an external amp. My setup is in a 16' by 14' room, and I have to say it has become a popular place for friends and family to watch a movie in, especially the newer 4K movies with Dolby Atmos. I was surprised how good the RP-140SA up-firing speakers perform and while I may sound like a commercial for Dolby or Klipsch, I'm really most satisfied with my Denon receiver. I have it loaded down with a full complement of add ons and I did add an AC Infinity fan due to heat being generated from the 4300, but it's never given me any problems.

That was the first thing I tried, still does it. I probably won't bother with sending out out as I know it will not be cheap, I'll just upgrade since I've had this for a few years. I wonder, would getting an external amp help at all?

An external amp just adds to a system, so the hiss would still be there. One last thing I would check and I would do this with a flashlight. I would look closely at the right front speaker terminal at the back of your AVR and look for stray wire that could be touching anything else that could possibly be shorting the terminal and causing the hissing. While you are back there with a flashlight, I would look at all the speaker terminals looking for the same thing. If the terminal area is clean, it may be time to go shopping.

Denon's new 2018 flagship beast the first AVR brand to release a 13.2 channel AVR, but sadly no HDMI 2.1 inputs or outputs. That will come later with a paid upgrade that will, bring the AVR to 8K ![]() ![]() |

Finally looking to dump my 11 year old Onkyo and wanted some suggestions.
I'm circling the 4300 and just wanted to know if there's anything possibly better out there. My checklist is under 1k price tag, 4K, Atmos, and supports Dolby Vision, although my TV doesn't support DV yet so not sure if that's a deal breaker. |

Look for personal preferences. I upgraded to Vizio E series 70 inch 4K on Black Friday, and yesterday upgraded my blu Ray to the Sony X800 4K. Currently using Denon AVR 990 for the heart of my setup.
Would you agree that best setup is hdmi out to tv for 4K pic and hdmi out to AVR 990 for sound? Can the 990 pass thru the 4K picture? Do people prefer the hdmi for sound, or the digital audio? Thanks all! |

Happy 3 year owner of a Denon here, after 7 years with Pioneer. I had a AVR-4000 for 3 years, only just recently switched it to a 4400. Three problem free years, save some minor heat issues that I resolved with a fan.
Although for the past year my Denon has been a pre/pro - I went full separates last January. |
