It looks like the hinting streak by Vestron Video' FB page continues!
So after the January hint for Parents, a February hint for The Gate, I'm pretty sure that this time around they have soft hinted at Wishmaster ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Blu Titan; 01-18-2017 at 04:19 AM. Reason: Added BD cover |

Oddly enough I bought the double feature pack of the first two movies on dvd when they were released about fifteen years ago and never did watch them. But a few months ago I noticed they were on Netflix and then saw them back to back for the first time. The dvds are still sealed.

To be honest, a part of me wonders how much impact the Leprechaun collection had in helping get this line green lit as well. It appeared to sell well and I still see it on shelves from time to time. I wouldn't be surprised if the sales from that set were the confirmation Lionsgate needed (beyond seeing what other studios were doing) to dig into their catalog. |

[Show spoiler] I'll let you guess what happens next.![]() In all honestly it takes the formula from the first and feels like an extension of that story. It's been a while since I last watched it but I never picked up on the fact that Wishmaster 2 was a DTV sequel. Part 3 and 4 feel that way, but if you told me the 2nd film was released theatrically I would have believed you based on my (admittedly hazy) memory. I just remember watching it a bunch when it first came out and always really liking it... (preferring it to the first in most cases). |

I don't know if I would say that any of the Wishmaster movies is "good", but the first two have Andrew Divoff, who is pretty great. The first one has to establish the rules, but the second one is able to be a lot more gonzo with the idea. If you want it to be scary, you probably won't enjoy the second one, but it's a fun bad movie. The third one was just bad-bad, and I don't think I watched the fourth one. I only saw it recently, on cable, and it was kind of refreshing, because most of the DTV/DT-cable horror movies these days are bloody and gory torture/chase movies.

Great. More films I haven't felt motivated to watch in almost two decades, but will dump $25 on and then feel obligated to after such a monetary investment and have pangs of buyers remorse, but hang onto to them with the idea that they will become ZOMG SO RAREZ!!11 in five years.
