2020 NFL Fantasy Advice Thread (Trades, Start 'em/Sit 'em)

I figured I'd make a thread for evaluating proposed NFL fantasy trades.

Adrian Peterson
Brett Favre

Aaron Rodgers
Jamaal Charles

Any thoughts?

I wouldn't do it, with Rice out and Harvin having his own health issues, Rodgers will have the much better season. Besides the less players you have on the same team, the better.

I've been leaning towards declining the trade. I think with the way he ended last season, Charles is headed for a breakout year. I'm also not confident that Favre's ankle will hold up the entire season, or that even if it does, he'll have the kind of year he had last year.

It all depends where your strengths are on your team now and your scoring system. If Charles is your best RB then that makes AP look pretty attractive. I will say that Favre looked old and slow the other night and I wouldn't be comfortable with him as my number 1 QB (he didn't have a full camp so he may look better as the season goes on.

That's the thing. I already feel like I have great depth at RB. I have Charles, Frank Gore, Arian Foster, and LeSean McCoy.

Yeah, you're solid at RB. You're definitely better off keeping Rodgers.

I've been offered Miles Austin and Mark Sanchez for Roddy White and Tim Hightower. I'm thinking about it since White and Austin are close and Hightower is a flex guy for me. Plus Matt Ryan and Matt Stafford are my QB's, and I lost Staff for a few weeks yesterday. I was thinking of telling him I'll do it if he switches Sanchez for Vick.

Thoughts?

I would do it, with Anderson's inconsistencies, Hightower will see some 8 man fronts, especially since Breaston is not Boldin and they don't really have anyone behind him and Fitzgerald.

Mark Sanchez shouldn't be on a fantasy roster in any format so you shouldn't think about him as part of that trade. I would assume you would cut him if you got him and picked up someone better. Miles Austin is the best player in the trade so it might be worth it for you.

No way do I take that deal. Hell I'd trade you for Aaron Rodgers and I'd probably offer you a better trade too, lol. But anyways we haven't seen yet if AP has been able to stop fumbling he claims to have fixed it but we will see, and do you really want a quarterback who is getting lube pumped into his ankles?? No way do I give up Rodgers for Favre. That is a terrible trade with Favre's injuries and lack of healthy WO's IMO. Team Vince for the trade rape,

I would have, but this is for the other league that I'm in.

I did end up not making the trade after all. It was tempting with AP involved, but like you said, Favre is a big unknown this year. I do see great years out of Rodgers and Charles, so I'm sticking to my guns.

I think Austin is going to really dominate this year and that would be an upgrade over White, but not so sure about the acquisition of Sanchez or Vick. If Kolb returns to the lineup without missing much time, Vick could really be relegated to limited (situational) action. Not sure that warrants a start at the QB spot.

Yeah, its basically a 2 for 1. The qb is just a throw in. Just trying to decide if I'm giving up too much for Austin.

Update: I made the trade but got Flacco and Austin for White and Hightower.

Here's a new one being discussed in the same PPR league:

I give up Flacco (or maybe Ryan) for Cedric Benson.

Also, I may be able to get AP for Flacco (or maybe Ryan) and Miles Austin.

Thoughts on those 2 trades?
