I wouldn't be surprised to see 'Spider Baby' and/or 'Pit Stop' amongst the first few waves of releases so one might consider holding off on importing the UK release if you are considering contributing to the Indiegogo campaign. However, both disks are very worthwhile and may be available more cheaply now than any eventual speculative NA re-release.

Arrow will presumably need to fill gaps in their 2015 schedule where NA rights are not available (off the top of my head: four Corman Poes, 'Thief', etc.) I have no if they can release those Hill movies in North America, though.

Isn't PIT STOP with Kino, Scorpion, or Cod Red?

Pit Stop is with Code Red via the Corman deal.

Then everyone should go ahead and order the Arrow - half the price of a potential CR disc, likely exclusive extras (Bill doesn't play well with others), and no insanity/unpredictability/lack of stock.

When the CR release was mentioned on Facebook, Jack Hill replied saying he had worldwide rights and Corman couldn't sell it. No way I could find it again or whether that post is even still there but who knows what the outcome is but it'll be interesting if Bill still releases it seeing as he's always complaining about bootlegs.

Either way, from that it sounds doubtful that Bill/Corman would have access to the new transfer

EDIT: Surprised it was still there..

FWIW, the UK disc has a workaround where you press the Top Menu button on the region restriction screen and it'll take you to the menu. Works on my PS3.

I do business with Corman all the time, and have access do his film elements, and I can tell you, Roger Corman has the original camera negatives for PIT STOP and not some beat up print. You can ask their camp. I passed on this title from their library because I had a feeling there was bitterness between the two parties, so despite Roger having the negatives, I didnt think it would have been a release that would have enough "extras" and probably something like this would come out of it. .

I remember your brother putting down the restoration saying he had access to the original negative. Something Arrow did not have. So, theoretically it should look better being a generation closer. I love Spider Baby, but I found Pit Stop a bore.

Not sure if this has been asked, but will the Arrow (US) be doing steelbooks?

Yes our intention would be to have SteelBooks in the US and UK where one is manufactured for a particular release. Please keep an eye on our website for details!
Gold List members receive all editions of a particular film as well - steelbook and regular.

Slow weekend for the campaign - other than another 3 year gold disk.

Maybe there will be some further announcements this week that will help bump the total over 80k.

I've been dying for someone to release on blu those NoShame giallo titles that have been out of print on DVD for some time. If Blue Underground won't do it, I'd have my hopes highest for Arrow US.

Although they will need to sell at least 10 more $1500 options.

I really really want The Burbs! I don't own a region free player or am planning to but i'm hoping i'll be able to view the ARROW release on my region A player at some point if it becomes available in the US.

Exactly. They are a little over 28k away. That is a lot of $65/$100/$175 buyers. They are going to need some more people to choose the 3 year option.

I'd like to see them blow by the 100k just to increase the frequency of releases.

The $1500/3 year plan is still a great deal. $42 a month for at least 2-3 releases + box sets + duplicates when released with special packaging.

I really thought we'd see a run on those once the initial few were bought.

Me too. As someone pointed out earlier in this thread, 20 people accounted for 50k of the 72k so far. I would *think* that most of the diehards have already gotten in on supporting the campaign.

I figured that by the end of the campaign we would know their 10 upcoming releases. I thought they would announce 1 every week or something and after each announcement - you would get a sizable bump. Right now, we only know 4 of the 10.

I'm biased - of course - because I got in on the 10 year plan and want to maximize my investment.
