UK Slipcover Thread

I think there should be a dedicated slipcover thread, I only buy steelbook Bluray movies, box sets, collector’s editions or Bluray amaray cased movies that come with slipcovers.

I have noticed that play.com & Amazon are removing the slipcovers advertised in the listing (via listing picture), which is cheasing me right off!

I have now decided to buy my Bluray movies from blockbuster stores, as they don’t remove the slipcovers, I've started amassing a shelf full of slip covered Bluray movies.

Resident Evil & The Hills Have Eyes 2 had/have slip covers, really regret throwing them in the bin .

Rambo IV & also Babylon A.D. have slip covers, which I again threw away.

The Only ones I've kept are for American Werewolf In London & Braveheart.

I think Predator 2 had a slip cover also, not that mine came with it.

I saw the predator 2 slipcover, its a shame the predator dosent come with one, if it did i'd add it to my collection (great movie though the first one).

Wizard of Oz has a slipcover. All 5 seasons of Lost too, and Fringe Season 1. That's all the slipcover BDs I own. I have Valkyrie but it's not the slipcover version.

Are you sure they're removing slipcovers?

I've ordered many titles from Play.com and received them WITH slipcovers.

Recently my Monsters Inc and Oz both came with them.

Don't know if that helps?

My local Tesco always keeps slip covers.

I myself take them off and store them.

I don't really like the slipcovers since they get ruined quite easily, slight rips and dents are so easy to get, but I rather not store them or throw them, afterall I paid for the slipcover when I bought the blu-ray.

I suppose it's down to the collector.

I don't really care much for the slipcovers either. I don't mind them on boxsets (such as Lost) but my Wizard of Oz slipcover ruins my line of BDs! The very least they could do is extend the blue banner onto the spine like other covers, but now I have this BD which looks like a short DVD case amongst my Blu-rays. I know it's easy to just take it off but that's not the point, haha.
