Ok hopefully this should give me a rough idea of how old everyone is on here.
My earliest memory is of going to see "On her Majestys Secret Service" back in about 69 or 70 - John Barry's score still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

There has to be somebody on here who has seen the original King Kong when it first came out

You do realise that that would make the person more or less over the age of 86 years old. Not impossible but the odds are not good

Earliest one I can think of is Back to the Future 2. My mother said she would have taken me to see Return of the Jedi but she thought I would have nighmares of the Rancor

This is a hard one since I usually have trouble remembering what I saw last week. I do remember being in grammer school and watching Close Encounters of the Third Kind, but I don't remember if I was 5 or 13 yrs old??

The first movie I ever saw in the theater was Superman 3, but I don't remember it becasue I was 1. The first one I remember seeing is The Terminator, I was 3 at the time. The only part I remember is when he takes his eye out because I remember running around the house yelling "Take eye out! Take eye out!" My aunt used to babysit me a lot and would take me on her dates to the the movies. I hope my son, who is now 6 months old, will be able to sit through a movie like I did. I'm taking him to one on his 1st birthday. We'll see how it goes.

close encounters at the drive in when i was 4, the earliest one i can remember, does that count? . and i swear after seeing that movie at that age i thought i was the little boy in the film and that i would be abducted by aliens . cant remember which movie i actually saw inside a movie theater first. first R movie was stakeout, haha, snuck in underage, first R movie on tv was maybe commando, we didnt have any movie channels at home, was at friends house. that was back when they still had nudity in PG movies . you know, priorities for the adolescent male, sorry got off topic .

I me for it was ET. I would have been 3 or 4 at the time and my parents didn't know if I was getting it or not. Apperantly I let out a whimper when the theater was silent and then a whole bunch of people lost it.
