Most of it yes. Drywall, flooring, trim and painting. But we didn't do any if the framing. I certainly wouldn't be able to build a cabinet like that. I really wish I could though. That's a talent you have there. Oh and congrats on the Paradigms. They are a great speaker.

I think you need to give yourself alot more credit where credit is do. As I have said many times, that room is beautiful and I wish I had an area like that. Thats the down side of my colonial, very small basement.

Thanks man. Like you said, now I got to work on that Projector. Maybe next year. I'm more of an audio guy anyway. I prefer spending my money on the audio rather than my video.

You gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women. Oh yeah! Gotta love Scarface.

Congrats!!!! Is this your first? Nothing will even be the same once you hold your baby for the first time. You had better get all of your upgrades before the baby gets here....it will be ALOT tougher to get any kind of WAF with a "lil" Morrissey around!

Thanks guys! Yes this is our first little 'Morrissey'.
Very excited about it and looking forward to the new responsibilities that go along with it. I'm getting the XPA-3 now before it is no longer an option.

Now I guess I have to build a fence around the HT so the baby can't get to it?

Just wait.......

I have a 13 month old boy who just started walking this week.....I am quite diligent of being near him whenever he is in the room. It is a lot of work, but my HT means almost as much to me as he does. My daughter is 5, and she never cared about the "lights" and "knobs". I see my son's eyes get a hold of them and every time he makes a straight line to them, which requires me to either tell him "NO!" (and he will listen if said the right way) or I have to go get him before he gets there. I am too anal about my HT and aesthetics, so a gate would not be acceptable to me.

Congrats on both the Baby and the XPA-3!!!

Yah it can get scary with the little ones runnin around the HT. I got'em well trained now but I did have my boy(3 yrs old at the time) run pretty hard into my older CC-390 on the stand. The speaker won though but none were hurt so good thing the the Paradigms and the boy are pretty solid!!

I got another 17 month old boy now that is just attracted to the XPA-3 lights though so I gotta get him trained!! They're actually pretty relaxed once the show starts.. already like to sit back and watch movies and the little one likes to stare at the PS3 screen effects when I use that for music!!

It'll be lots of fun when the little one comes.. Congrats again!!!

That's funny! Looks like he has the same passion about HT as you.
Yeah I wouldn't be able to do a gate either...just won't look right.
Well we'll figure something out. We have lots of time.

I see from the picture in your gallery that you are a proud papa...and it seems like you're a very good one as well.

Thanks a lot DLS. Thats pretty cute that your young one likes watching the PS3 screen effects. I am looking forward to it!

Yeah that 390 was built pretty tough...but I'm glad he wasn't hurt, it was probably as big as him and weighed the same.

Hopefully the XPA will be worth the money...I run my Yamaha pretty hard and it seems to do the job. I guess the XPA will lighten the load on the Yamaha.

Again, thanks for the congrats and I hope everything is well with you!

I remember when I originally went to a PJ setup I purchased an Infocus 7200 DLP (720p, $7000us). I had the screen installed and the projector on a small table. I walked in the room one day and my 8 month old son had somehow gotten in there and was hitting the projector with a plastic golf club.

The ceiling mount was ordered that night.....

Thanks! I sure as hec try....but the constant running around when I get home does wear on me. Good thing they are this age only once......or at least this is what I keep telling myself.....and your room is beautiful, so eventually we may see some new pics that might have some toys or a playpen in there?

But seriously, holding your son/daughter for the first time will change how you look at everything in your world forever....and in a good way.
