I got mine for Christmas, Great set! I actually thought the original looked pretty nice also, "Axis of Evil" was OK but looked good. The trunk itself though is just a great thing to own!

Default Puppet Master no longer plays...

Full Moon's BD of Puppet Master (the corrected edition) no longer works in oppo or pannasonic players.
Is this BD rot???
The disc looks fine to me?

Try playing the disc in another player and see if it works. If it does, then perhaps e-mail Oppo regarding the issue. They have excellent customer service and are always looking for "issues" so they can resolve them.

If it does not play any any player, you may have a bad disc.

Good luck.

I have the Oppo 983 and a Panny 55k- Puppet Master works in neither.
Never really had a non DVD-18 go bad before, but it's entirely possible that Full Moon's replication process was chemically unstable.

The 3 disc is most likely the first 3 films.
They're selling a 3 pack on the Full Moon site

Series Synopsis: The secret of life has been discovered by master puppeteer Andre Toulon. Tunneler has a nasty habit of boring holes in people with his drill bit head. Ms. Leech regurgitates killer leeches that suck her victims dry. Pinhead strangles his enemies with his powerful vice-like hands. Blade has a gleaming hook for one hand and a razor-sharp knife for the other. And Jester, the ruthless brains of the bunch, is absolutely merciless. Together, they’re an army of skilled assassins, diabolically programmed to guard the deadly secrets of the Puppet Master throughout the decades.

Starring: Paul Le Mat (American Graffiti, American History X, Melvin and Howard), William Hickey (Prizzi’s Honor, One Life to Live, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Name of the Rose), Irene Miracle (Inferno, Midnight Express, Walking Thunder), Jimmie F. Skaggs (Lethal Weapon, Hollow Man, Cutthroat Island)

Does the new BD of the original Puppet Master have the same actual content, or is it a real upgrade?

What does that mean? New edition? Like a new remaster and extra's?

I second this line of questioning. Because I recently bought the old version, not realizing a new one was scheduled.

Ok, so, if I'm reading this thread right, did the U.S. get the new remaster of the first Puppet Master, as well?

I posted a query on what I think is their official facebook. Hopefully I'll get an answer.

EDIT:
Guys, aren't 88 Films the people responsible for the better UK transfer of the first movie? Because, on the page for the three-movie box set, the trailer given for the first movie is the 88 films trailer, which would mean that we're getting that transfer, right?
