Is their technology deteriorating? I thought Neytiri looked identical to Saldana. But now this. And specially Winslet's character looks nothing like Winslet.

I wondered the same thing. Maybe it will have more of a resemblance in the film?

Are they using Sigourney's voice?

They can pitch correct to give Sigourney a higher sounding voice, unless she is doing the body animation and some other younger woman is doing the vocals.

Makes you wonder. What is the grand idea? If it’s the role of a teenage girl, why not have a teenage girl play it?????

All of these things are ridiculous stunts to me.

At least we know he wants to do other things besides Avatar. I have no idea who else you would get, though, since the franchise really feels like his baby in a way that I don't know if it would even work with anyone else at the helm.

Glad to hear he wants to do other things.

As long as he doesn't pass the baton to Robert Rodriguez.

Yikes! I don't like the sound of that at all.

This actually worries me about those films considerably. And I say this as someone who loved the first film and can't wait to see The Way of Water.

On the other hand, perhaps we'll finally get Alita 2 with Cameron directing. One can dream!

If the sequel is successful this will turn into a major franchise. Eventually Cameron will have to move aside.

Approving the transfers for True Lies & The Abyss, perhaps?

Alita 2 will need a hugely improved script and better acting this time around. The last one was pure

By 'Avatar 4' we may actually want a remake of the first movie though. And I've always wondered who Jake Sully's parents were.

Hopefully Alita 2 won't feel like half a movie. Alita 1 felt like the first half of a movie, just sorta ends.

This is actually good news. I like Avatar, but one James Cameron-helmed Avatar film is enough for me. I was a little disappointed when I found out he was making more. I'd rather he move on to other projects.

Difficult to even think/predict much regarding anything beyond Avatar 3 given how long these films are taking. Whatever is planned right now could change so easily. Avatar was decent entertainment, but I'd like to see other movies directed by Cameron.

Who knows if we'll even get an Avatar 4 and 5. Who knows what the box office will be like for 2 and 3.
