I think everyone also needs to remember that 88 is a tiny operation, to the point where they make Arrow and Eureka look like a major studio. There's a reason Fran hasn't gone down the UHD route with Radiance...

In the email 88 sent out this morning, what is the film used in the sale graphic? I think I need that in my collection.

It is what it is....but damn, are those shipping costs increased. 20 pounds for 8 titles. In 2021 it was only 4 pounds for even more titles.

Yea, I had 7 items in my cart and shipping was 12 pounds. Added 1 more and it jumped to 20 pounds. Probably some size threshold or something. Well had to drop it and go with my original 7.

Shame they dropped the 100 pound free shipping they had last sale.

Nice, They made Ark of the Sun God available to pre-order before the 30% code expired. Would have liked it if God of Gamblers was available too but ah well.

I was going to order Ark anyway so the way I view it I added The One and Forbidden City Cop to the order for an extra £6 each.

I had 3 titles in my cart and shipping was 16 pounds. I took one out and it was 12 pounds. The shipping wiped out the discount so I passed this time. I have 16 pounds in rewards but it didn't let me use the two together.

same, it's really killing the deal, plz do something for the expensive shipping price, Arrow, Second Sight, Powerhouse and all are way cheaper so should be more affordable.

Yeah, when you add up shipping, all the discount is almost gone. I wanted to order more but I ended up ordering only six so the shipping was 12 and not 20.

That's how ordering from Vinegar Syndrome works for me, sale prices help absorb shipping costs. International shipping is as expensive as hell these days...

Shout Factory are releasing a bunch of new Shaw movies stateside, I'm hoping 88 Films might bring some more out over here even though they'd be UK only?
We need more Wang Yu in these troubled times!

Ark of the Sun God dispatched, not sure what to expect from this.
Might be a fun Indiana Jones rip off or it could be another terrible Italian cash in.
Saw on the BBFC website this has been raised from a PG to 12.

If they are going to release those titles that Shout have in the Shaw Bros Classics boxset, I hope they tease/announce them sooner rather than later, so that people can choose which to buy.

I'm so tempted to order the ITLOD boxset from the US now that its US$60 + $10 shipping, its a much better deal than Eureka's offering (or lack thereof). Quite sick of these higher priced first edition printings when it used to be a freebie

Eureka could have offered a boxset of their own and use 1 booklet for all 4

On 88's new 'Coming Soon' banner it displays what looks like a film called 'Cursed'. Anyone got any idea?

Wes Craven's Cursed - from what I remember it's a fairly average teen werewolf movie but I'd probably upgrade it for a rewatch. We never got the unrated cut in the UK, it's definitely not worth purchasing if that's not included.

You can fit all four discs in a standard width case, the same as they do for TV boxsets, My shelves are groaning again so I always appreciate a more compact set. Eureka clearly wanted to cash in on separate releases the same way Indicator are cashing in on separate Jean Rollin releases.

Are we sure it's not Curse, as in the 1987 one? Seems more likely, being with MGM. Art looks more appropriate too.

Wouldn't surprise me if this contained both films. Looks to me like there's some smaller writing below the title in the same font, possibly indicating that.

Kinda hard to tell but I don't think it's the Craven film.
