This won't be a copy of the Japanese BD releases! Nozomi will be running tests to get the best upscale and will do the disc authoring in-house.

The wording in the main body of the Kickstarter made it sound like this was the case, but more solid confirmation is nice. I'm not expecting miracles, but anything they end up producing can't be any worse than the Q-Tec garbage that already exists.

Haven't supported any Kickstarter projects yet... But I would love to see Hotarubi no Mori e dub/sub blu-ray here in the US.

Most people actually have the money on hand. I usually budget it into my spending. I already have it marked for when it ends so I know when to have money in my account.

Meh I'll never watch a dub, I only backed Skip Beat because that was the only to get the show at all (until they announced the other versions after). Plus Ann worked so hard I hated to see that effort wasted. f I thought the Blu Ray would be good I might back it but given the source material and how the Japanese Blu turned out I doubt it will be worth it.

It'll probably be better then the Japanese version Ann said. I think they will probably do the best they can. Looks like if this one is successful then they will hopefully do the other ones as well.

Even if the Aria dub is successful, the BD may not look good at all. The JP BDs were horrendous and looked far worse than the DVD counterparts. Is Nozomi really going to create a new master for it?

That's a lot.

Also Aria is 30fps and it won't translate well into 24fps on BD.

Yup it's a freaking EE and DNR mess with horrendous contrast.

Let's us hope that Nozomi can a do a better job at it.

While I've watched Aria a million times I pledged cause' I wanna see how the upscale and the dub turn out-it's #3 on my list of all time fav anime series.
