Looks like stock has been exhausted at Amazon. Now showing as only available from 3rd party sellers.

Glad I took the plunge on this - and have decided to keep the Criterion, so will have a mega special ed. double pack!

Mine came dented yesterday from Amazon. Got a replacement arriving tomorrow and DPD will be picking up the damaged copy this afternoon. I hope Yodel doesn't damage my replacement copy or I am in trouble.

On another note, all this talk of the Criterion has got me very interested in its commentaries, is there any reason I shouldn't go for the cheaper DVD version to sit alongside the Arrow blu-ray? No differences in the features between the two or any that are really worth having in HD on the Criterion?

I thought Criterion charge the same for DVD or BD, so unless you can pick up the DVD cheaply in resale as it has been out for many years now, you might as well buy the BD. That is of course assuming you can play RA disks.

The DVD goes for as little as £5 on eBay over here, Criterion blus tend to hold their value much better as they're much more of a niche market as so few people can play RA. I've got a Panasonic so the workaround works with most things, and I can hook an external blu drive to my Mac mini for anything else, but the software available for Macs is pretty crap so that's a last resort. I don't think any of my friends have an RA set up, with players being so much more expensive and the import market dying it's nothing like the heyday of DVD when everyone was clamouring for a region free player and throwing a fortune at play.com

So glad I went for a blind buy on this yesterday from Amazon, I had no idea it was so popular so it's by pure luck I ordered before they sold out... just heard it's been delivered to my neighbour so will go home and pick it up soon

Argh, tried to wait until payday next week but I've ordered it now for £33. Not the best, but that's my fault for waiting.

My Amazon pre-order has been "Preparing for Dispatch" the last few days. Hopefully I'll get it in time for the weekend.

Got mine yesterday in perfect condition (it actually arrived last week, but I was not able to pick it up from the post office until yesterday).

I am going to keep my Criterion as well. Always loved the Criterion edition. The only thing I regret is selling off my old Criterion DVD cheap to a friend when I upgraded. Their cover design is one of my favorites, but it really fits best with the DVD version, because the dimensions of the old double-dvd case are so similar to a video tape.

Wow. So glad I made my order from Amazon last night. Wake up and they are all sold out. Now to just wait the few weeks it will take for this to arrive.

Yeah. I was lucky enough to see Arrows Facebook post last night saying that Amazons stock was extremely limited. I figured it was now or never eBay. Glad I got my order in. Now I'll be holding my breath until it actually ships.

One question. Are these Videodrome sets numbered in any way?

Don't think they are numbered. I have the Society limited edition, and that isn't numbered.

I forgot about Society not having a numbered card. I was thinking there would be one for this like there was for TCM2.

No, there isn't. There's not even an un-numbered card here.

Yodel actually delivered one of my parcels to our local SpecsSavers yesterday. I so wanted to open the door and make fun of the guy ... he went to SpecsSavers and still couldn't find the right address!
