If your center is going to be low like that you can reverse the feet on the bottom to angle it up a bit more. I found mine didn't blend as well with the feet in the factory position so I reversed them and it sounds better with it aimed more to ear level.

I'll say it again, I really appreciate your input on going with the CC690. There was a time a contemplated the 590 as it was the one I was used to because we displayed in the store. But the 690 is a revelation. |

And here she is, my CC-290. So far it's a little bright sounding but I assume it would warm up as it breaks in. But it still sounds awsome, glad I didn't get the 390, or it would be hanging off the edges! And it didn't break my wallet, Merry Christmas to me!

Congrats tinchman, it looks like the perfect speaker for your set-up, and sure enough, the sound will warm up a bit after some break-in time.

this is regarding the dipoles...
i read that dipoles were designed for very old surround sound formats and that the newer sound formats dont use dipoles very well... also dipoles are not very flexible with their placement as such they have to be directly on the sides of the listener for it to be effective and have a very small sweet spot. where as bipoles use the newer surround formats in a much more efficient & effective way than dipoles and are also much more flexible as far as placement it concerned.... Hence bipoles are far superior to dipoles for Home theater usage.... Is that correct...? |
