I like everything to match, that's the only reason the 390's were replaced. I sold the 390's for $550 ( what I paid for them) and the 590's were $1200 and they aren't $650 better. If you are buying new that changes things because then the price difference shrinks, my 390's were dealer demo's. I'm also using the Studio 20's for surround backs and they are too much speaker for that, get the 10's. I think I may listen to the 110's this weekend, I have a set of Atom's kicking aroud but they stick out to far. The speakers have to be wall mounted in our bedroom. Thanks for your opinion.
I've read the same thing from others that have owned both ragarding the 390's and 590's. I wanted to buy i_JACK_o's 590's but realized it wasn't worth it. I just sold my ADP 390's the other day and have a pair of Energy RC-R's coming hopefully this week. What I really like about them is the option of switching from bipole to dipole to monopole. It was kind of a downgrade in price but I guess I consider it an upgrade for the placement in my room. I think ADP's would be better as sides and not rears for a 7.1 setup.

The rears are not as critical as the main surrounds.. For my multi-channel music they won't be used and for movies the Studio 40's will still provide the main surround effects and timber matching shouldn't be so important for rears. I'll find out soon If I 'll be able to notice a difference. The 40's mad a HUGE difference from my older Polk as my main surrounds though.

Me too...it's a great deal. That sub isn't too bad either that is included in the package. I gave mine to my brother-in-law after I got my dual SVS subs.

You have quite the speaker setup - I hope to one day be able to upgrade mine to the Studio line, as well.

Let me ask, though, have you not found a Paradigm sub that you like? I've heard the Ultracube and the Seismic lines and would love to have either one.

I have listened to many Subs from Paradigm. I do love them very much but they are quite expensive. I found that going the Internet Direct way for me was more cost efficient. I am very happy with my SVS subs.

The Sub 25 is...

Yeah, they do tend to be fairly pricey. Do you think there's a disparity in "bang for the buck" between Paradigm speakers and Paradigm subwoofers?

But, this new Seismic 110 looks pretty cool http://www.paradigm.com/en/reference...-4-28.paradigm.

Sorry Morrissey I gotta correct that price I mentioned. I wanted to make sure myself and they are actually $1199 each not $1299 and from what I know they stopped at version 4. I said 4k for the 3 but that was probably with taxes in when he said it. Not too much of a difference but I had to fix what I posted.

That's the one that looks like a dog.
Are their subs bang for the buck compared to the speakers? I would have to say no but I'm sure others may say yes.

Thanks, have you ever considering sharing your HT with everyone here? We would love to see it and it's easy to create your own gallery.

Default Help with speaker choices

Looking to upgrade from the Cinema 110 CT to the Monitor series and choosing between 3 options, looking for your help if possible. My room is 16x12 so not too big.

Option 1
Front: Atom
Rear: Micro (just released)
Center: CC-190
Sub: DSP-3100

Option 2
Front: Mini
Rear: Micro (just released)
Center: CC-190 or CC-290
Sub: DSP-3100

Option 3
Front: Monitor 7
Rear: Micro (just released)
Center: CC-190 or CC-290
Sub: DSP-3100

Option 1 is the cheapest, but 2 and 3 are actually close because of the savings from not buying bookshelf stands.

Also thinking about the Onkyo 508 or Onkyo 608.

Any thoughts guys?

When you say that you have the Cinema 110s, does this mean that you bought it as a package so that you also have the Cinema ADPs and Cinema Sub CT?
