Honestly I find MK Annihilation to be more enjoyable than the Paul W.S. Anderson film these days.

MK 1995 has aged poorly and is kinda boring.

I agree it's a bit boring but actually think it's aged quite well. It just feels like a supernatural martial arts flick and is shot superbly. I'll fight anyone that thinks this isn't W. S. Anderson's best shot movie by a country freaking mile.

P.S. Annihilation sucks dingage... serious dingage. Not even in a so bad it's funny way to me. It's just pure unwatchable trash.

Wow I've never heard that before. It's cheesy sure but I've never found it boring, it moves quickly. Also, goro looks like crap even in 95. The second one is too silly and feels really cheap which is maybe why I find it boring. Add to that would be kahn usually not in his armor and he's made to be whiney.

The new one is much more boring imo than wonder either of them imo. Take away the fatalities and it would really nose dive. I may pick up the 4k just for the fatalities though.

Did you watch the webseries?

Mortal Kombat Legacy is solid. First season is better than the 2nd season, but even season 2 has its moments.

Annihilation looks and feels like a porn parody, just without the porn.

MK '95 probably makes it into my top 10 1990s movies.

Legacy is great, shame we didn't get more. Kevin Tancharoen's vision on MK is, eh...excellent. I wish we would have gotten the reboot movie by him. I truly love the much more serious tone of the webseries. It has a couple of great ideas and quite a bit of originality to it I think.

For anyone who hasn't seen it, here's the short movie by Tancharoen that preceded the webseries:

This is how I like it.

There's already a thread for the 2021 movie. If anything, this thread should be moved to the Wish List section.

The Sonic movie is already in 4K UHD.
Too bad it wasn't nominated for Best Picture in the Golden Globes, especially when it surely deserved the nomination more than Sia's Music, which has to be one of the worst films of all time.
Meanwhile, Sonic the Hedgehog, one of the best films of 2020, doesn't get any award nominations.

That link in the first post shows the new movie. I hope the 1995 movie is coming.

Still thoroughly enjoy these two scenes. Let's hope the UHD is done well.

The VFX from MK 1995 have undoubtedly aged but I'll absolutely take it 365 days of the year over MK Annihilation, which was The Room before Tommy Wiseau graced us with "Oh hai, Mark!"

Well no because the listing was a mistake and it's not coming out. It was a listing for the 2021 film.

Ugh, so much potential. Did anybody else see that 1 hr "making-of" special on TNT back in the day? That thing was good.

Such a guilty pleasure. The movie is so corny that it's good.

The 1997 film is one of the worst movies ever made. Everyone involved was terrible.

Even James Remar was terrible. He looked like he hated being in it. Can't blame him for that.
