I think the game I want most is NFL BLITZ. 'What the hell is wrong with him?"

I really hope they release it and keep the 4 controller ports, playing Mario Kart 64 in battle mode was too much fun. I'm pretty sure it'll be easy to hack like the NES and SNES mini, I added DKC 2, DKC 3, Super Mario Allstar and pilotwings to my SNES and Contra and a multi games to my NES.

My most wanted games are Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Wave Race 64, Star Fox 64, Pilotwings 64, Donkey Kong Country 64 and Mario Golf, I'm not expecting Goldeneye, Perfect Dark or Banjo Kazooie to be on the console due to MS having the rights.

Goldeneye can only be played on the N64. I loathed the remastered version.

Hopefully it'll get Mario Party 1 - 3.

No idea but November is right there so we should probably hear soon. They may see the recent NES Classic and SNES Classic sales and think they can hold off on the N64 for awhile.

Nintendo will milk the nes snes cow until the end of this year so if N64 mini comes out it won’t be until summer 2019.

They could have done the same with the SNES because the hype over the NES was still there and wait 2 years between them but didn't I don't understand why they're doing it now. True fans (like me) already have both the NES and SNES classic and will buy the N64 classic as soon as it's released, it's not like we would get one or the other! The N64 is by far my favourite console ever and I can't wait for it to look decent on a modern TV.

My guess is that we will get Mario Party 3 and Ocarina of Time but you already can download the files for any N64 games you want, the N64 classic will be easy to hack IF they release it.

N64 emulation is still kind of spotty compared to nes or SNES. Games like Reisdent Evil 2 still don't run properly through emulation.

I'm not convinced Nintendo will ever release this system. Biggest reason is finding a way to correctly emulate the analog stick. I have several purchased N64 games on the Wii U and the analog isn't great. A few sensitivity zones at best. Certainly not the range you get playing on actual hardware.

Someone's been hard at work.

These were posted on Twitter. Either someone with way too much time on their hands or it's the first look at the N64 Classic

I love how "leaks" can never show the whole ****ing thing. Noooooooo.......we'll frame it out, maybe some diorama or tilt/shift.

If this is true, having the entire fake controller port section pull out and hand there is inelegant as hell and not something I would expect in a finished product.

So I can see those games making the potential list, with Super Smash Bros. bringing the number to 20.

As for more recent news, Nintendo UK has recently put up pages for Banjo-Kazooie and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, fueling speculation of their inclusion in a N64 Classic.

I've been playing Mario Party 2 on Wii U VC and man, it's so hard to do Slot Car Derby properly without the original stick. The dead zone on the tablet pad is fine for something like Super Mario 64 but not this game.

I got out my N64 (grape purple!) to play Zelda since I cant stand the MM3D changes, and I never realized how worn out my controllers are. My gold one is worn out and can't register right properly, and the grape isn't bad but doesn't register up all the way.

I never assumed it would.

2016 was dedicated to the NES Classic
2017 was dedicated to the SNES Classic
2018 was dedicated to the NES Classic re-release as well as ensure SNES Classic stayed in stock.

It wouldn’t make sense for an N64 Classic until 2019.

https://mynintendonews.com/2018/11/0...ntly-imminent/

I could see this as a "one more thing" at the end of the Direct.

Quote:
We have all heard numerous rumblings around the internet that Nintendo is working on a Nintendo 64 Classic as a follow-up to the NES Classic and the Super Nintendo Classic.

Today, a site named Gaming Intel has captured people’s attention as they claim that sources have informed them that the classic edition of 64-Bit console is due to be announced this month by the Kyoto-based company.

The sources say that it is to be shown off following or sometime after the Super Smash Bros Ultimate Direct which is happening at 2pm GMT today. The site says that the system will have 30 pre-installed games overall with 5 names stated:

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Super Mario 64
The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask
Puyo Puyo Sun 64 (But may not be on all versions, could be just JP)
Banjo-Kazooie
At least 25 more games.

Has the direct ended? HAven't been paying attention, not a fan of Smash.

I see the sit updated to say that thteir source confirmed it would be shown right after the Smash direct but haven't seen anything, they also say that it will include RARE titles. But since they got the reveal wrong who knows if that's true.

I would be very surprised if they did. I still wouldn't expect to see Goldeneye though, that's the only game I would want on there. But it seems to be impossible for anyone to re-release that title.
