Immortal Hulk (full run, 1-50 + extra one-shots) has been the most exciting and intense ride for me as a comics fan in many years, followed closely by the Batwoman omnibus (vol. one). And I've been a fan since 1968, so I've read a few comics, I suppose.

Agree with you on Immortal Hulk. I'm excited to read the new Hulk series that follows it, written by Donny Cates.

Jonathan Hickman’s entire marvel run. If I had to pick I would go his FF run and Secret Wars.

For me the #1 has been Hickman with Avengers/New Avengers transitioning into Secret Wars. The story was just so epic.

A close second would be Snyder/Capullo on Batman (2011). While I wasn't a huge fan of the later part of that run the first 30-40 issues just knocked it out of the park.

And for sheer entertainment and art, Jeph Loeb/Jim Lee on Batman:Hush.

This is a fun topic. Lots of cool stuff listed so far. That said, my favorite run is Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's Batman run, from Batman #1 up to their stuff in Heavy Metal, and Last Knight on Earth. All good stuff.

Another run is Grant Morrison's entire Batman run. I love Gothic through his Batman Inc. Such great epic stories in this run.

To round it off I'd say that Jonathan Hickman's Marvel run. I didn't read his FF stories yet, because the damn omnibus is OOP. But with all of the nonsense going on in the industry today his stuff is respectful of the Marvel legacy and treats the reader with respect as well.

**Honorable mention goes to Geoff Johns' DC runs, but I haven't finished his Flash nor Green Lantern yet.
