Default Bluray player compatibility with Onkyo HTR-667

does anyone know if the above mentioned reciever has any compatibility issues with certain brand named bluray players. I have had this reciever for about a year. it's referbished. My first BD player was the magnavox from wallmart. That player did a fine job w/ no issues at all. It worked well w/ this reciever.

2 wks ago I got a new sammy plasma TV (PN50B550) along w/ the sammy P1600 BD Player. For some reason or another this player seems to not connect via HDMI when I switch the revicer from cable/sat to DVD. Sometimes I have to hit the reset button on the player and it will eventually come on. Once it's on it works fine. I changes HDMI ports and it still takes 5 to 10 min for it to establish the video feed. I did hook it directly to the TV and it came on. The HDMI Cord that is hooked to the reciever is the same one I used to the TV and it works, so I don't think it's the HDMI cable.

Can anyone give me any suggestions on this, do I need a new reciver, new HDMI cables or a different brand BD player?

thanks
