anyone have any info on this? https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Bella...Blu-ray/162590

will it be region free? and also why does it say 4k and also why is it 93 minutes when all other countries are 87 minutes?

thanks in advance.
It was scanned and restored at 4K from the original 35mm negative. The blu-ray of course is 1920x1080 as per the blu-ray spec.

The German release should be locked to Region B.

The 93 minute runtime is most likely a typo.

Ok. So as long as I have a region free player I'm good? I don't need a region free 4k player do i?

Also, one can assume the pq will be better than other releases?

The PQ will be similar since there is only one new 4k restoration, and that's the one Cinelicious has used for their release.

Has anybody seen the French release yet? It's got the movie on one disc and extras on another. Plus it comes with the soundtrack on CD and artcards in a box that looks like the companion book Hat & Beard put out. It's pretty cool. What's puzzling though is an additional on disc extra; 4 minutes of "deleted scenes." What this is I'm not entirely sure since all the deleted footage from its second theatrical release was found and restored. It might be unused footage of some kind? If it was available, why was it not included on Cinelicious' Blu-ray? I'm intrigued.

question for cinelicious pics fans: are their release region free or region locked?

in particular, this Varda double bill:
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Jane-...lu-ray/143034/

is listed as region free here on bluray.com,
but as region A locked on dvdbeaver...

It's supposed to be region 1/A locked. Has anyone confirmed otherwise?

Anime Limited are planning a release for this film using the Cinelicious master for those who don't have a region free player, but dates are in limbo at the moment. It's Blu-ray and Region B of course.

I'm curious about the BBFC rating though.

Speaking of their release, I just saw this picture of Anime Limited's disc art:

This is freaking hilarious!

Anybody planning on picking-up the Anime Limited release? I'm curious if it's going to have a better encode. Maybe it's just the elements but the currently available disc has what looks like macroblocking throughout reminiscent of Criterion's Mulholland Drive but not as nasty. Maybe it's just me though!

If anyone could kindly chime in if the UK release is the same transfer as the Cinelicious release I'd be very grateful. I have picked this up but it remains sealed because if the UK version isn't the same or better than the US release I'll be returning it!

I would like to know that too.

Here is by the way the main menu of the UK release:

The menus are the same as on the US release, so I think it's safe to assume the UK release is the US disc with the Anime Limited logo movie added.

has it been confirmed as Region B? I was going to pick it up because it's listed as Region A,B,C here :

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Bella.../#RegionCoding

but all the online listings say Region B...

So there's some conflicting information that'd i'd like to clarify.

Could anyone that has the UK set please confirm?

Thanks in advance.
